   Absolutely fantastic. Food was superb. We had the cornbread, Swedish salad, the snapper and brisket. Amazing food. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Excited to return

   I thoroughly enjoyed dining at Metropolis. The ambiance was incredible. Getting to the location is not difficult but it's at least a couple of blocks away from the train station. When we entered the location there was a musical performance taking place in the lobby of the building. So we were able to hear that music being played from our table inside the restaurant. The first item we had was the cornbread. It was different from what I expected however, it was good in it's own way. It was moist and definitely warm. We ordered a coupe drinks. One was the yes sir. It had some of the whisky made by Beyonce. Our entrees were the Sugar Hill (fried chicken) which was delicious and the brisket. They were both tasty. Another appetizer we had was the cheesy fries. They were shoe string fries with a cheese powder. It wasn't a bunch of melted cheese, which I enjoyed.

   3 stars is generous and only warranted because the food was very good. Waitress was terrible and served a very expensive bottle of white wine at room temperature instead of first bringing down the temperature to an appropriate level. Waiters repeatedly dropped stuff on and around us. Really an amateur performance.

   I live in the neighborhood and this is a neighborhood gem. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's an upscale venue. The vibe there is fun with an engaging staff and a DJ. You can go there and hang out at the bar and have a good time, but you'd be missing out on the food. I would describe the food as "Lots of Flavor".

   In a word—outstanding! This was our second visit to Metropolis, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Maître d' Isaiah, who set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our server Ira was not only attentive but also knowledgeable, offering insight into each dish with enthusiasm that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Chef Sherry's culinary creations were a true work of art—both in taste and presentation. Each bite was a revelation, and the appetizers in particular were nothing short of spectacular. If I could describe it, it was like a celebration of flavors in my mouth— my taste buds were dancing with delight and craving more after every bite. We've dined at top restaurants all over the world- but Metropolis stands out, to us, as one of the best. Chef Sherry, thank you for making this Valentine's truly special. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience!

   Food was delicious - corn bread, green salad, fried chicken. We booked because we had a concert at St Paul’s chapel and so were on a tight schedule. Our server was terrific and made it happen with grace. We will be back.

   The service needs to be better. Missed orders. Bottle of wine took 40 minutes to be delivered and bottles on menu not in stock.

   I had a great experience! From the maître D staying on the phone with me guiding me to find the restaurant up until I made it to the door. The great servers Beatrice and Cameron. Food was excellent! Decor 10/10 and service was great. It was a great time and can’t wait to go back.

   AMAZING food, amazing ambience.. service staff was very attentive and even gave my mom dessert for her birthday!! Can’t say enough great things!

    The food truly left a lot to be desired. The pairings of flavors were odd. The oysters though were tasty we enjoyed the lemongrass sauce that it came with.
