   I made a reservation at Mezza Luna in Neptune Beach to celebrate my parents' 50th anniversary with our immediate family. They were nice enough to sprinkle some pink and red hearts on the table, so I thought "How nice, this will be a great night", and I set the table up with photos from their wedding and some others as well to make it special for them. They are always caring for others and NEVER go to nice dinners like this, so this was important for me to do this for them on such a big anniversary. The food is absolutely delicious, the restaurant is beautiful, it is very loud (to the point that it's difficult to have conversations across the table) but I had read that in the reviews and expected it, however, the service was terrible. It took at least 10-15 minutes for someone to come to our table with water, and a long time after that to order drinks. We ordered appetizers, but hey did not take our dinner order until after we finished our appetizers and they took our plates. So, we then waited a long time for our meal. I had to wave the server down and ask for refills on drinks or anything else we needed. If they didn't ask, they never had refills. Most never had a refill or were topped off. She did not come by regularly to ask if we need anything. She took all our dinner plates and cleared the table before coming back if we want any dessert at the very last minute. By then, it had been 2 1/2 hours (7-9:30pm) and was late, and by her tone, I don't think she wanted us to stay. I have never been to a restaurant that wouldn't have brought a small complementary dessert for any anniversary, much less a 50th celebration. It was just a "thanks and goodnight". I NEVER write negative reviews because everyone has a bad night. But this was important and cost me hundreds of dollars, and most of all, I wanted better for my sweet parents. It's a great meal. But I wouldn't celebrate anything big at this restaurant and expect it to be special.

   El servicio muy malo, la señora que nos atendió se le pasó la orden del plato fuerte y nos tocó esperar mucho tiempo para que saliera, mostramos nuestra inconformidad y nos pusieron otra Señora (mut gentil), pero ya habían dañado la noche Lamentablemente no regresamos más

   One of our absolute favorites spots in the Jacksonville area. Special occasions, guests in town or just a great dinner out, we love coming here

   Always happy with our experience here. Consistently good. A solid neighborhood restaurant. Ambience is always warm. There are nicer spots but we always find ourselves craving their pizza and specials.

   Enjoyed Mezza Luna. Service was superb - very attentive - and was spaced out properly. Overall, the food was very good but the cioppino was a bit sparse for my liking as I am accustomed to having more shellfish in the dish. Also, the caesar salad was dry and uninspired - just lettuce and croutons which was quite disappointing. Otherwise, the drinks and pizza were terrific.

    The service is absolutely superb, none better at Neptune beach . Food is outstanding and their bread pudding for dessert is in my opinion the best on the east coast. Best restaurant on the beach in Jacksonville
