   Sushi is world class, but appetizers/small dishes are just very good. Given the premium price, you want everything to be exceptional and that wasn’t quite the case.

   MF has always been the premier sushi restaurant in Houston. However, given their popularity, I find that the sushi chefs cannot keep up with the patrons orders. Therefore some of the dishes are completed in the kitchen. Not the experience that I with to have for my dining dollar.

   I took my partner to MF for her birthday. We were having a hard time deciding what to pick from the fantastic menu, so our server made the selections for us. The result was the best sushi experience we've ever had. The presentation, service, and quality were second to none. The sushi was even pre-seasoned, so we needed to add nothing else. Absolutely fantastic. You get what you pay for, and this is a high-end sushi experience, but if you're looking for a real stand-out experience, I can't recommend it enough.

   10/10 perfect place for date night or girls night. Sushi and ambience was great. Lychee martini was very delicious!

    We made this reservation several weeks in advance. Got a babysitter, planned a date night out, etc. Upon arriving to the restaurant, we were informed by the hostess that because it is a “busy weekend” we would only be allowed to stay for 1 hour & 15 minutes. This was very frustrating considering nobody notified us of this ahead of time and we would’ve made a reservation somewhere else. If we are going to go to a nice dinner and spend a lot of money, I prefer to go somewhere and not feel rushed. The menu is one in which you really need a server that can help you dissect what to get, and our server seemed very rushed and busy. He was nice. I do not blame the server himself, but I think the restaurant should just allow for less reservations, rather than rushing the people who are already there. Overall it put a bad taste in my mouth and I probably will not return, even though the food was good.
