   Enjoyed food, drink and atmosphere. However. Was disappointed after being told we could have our tea at the end of our meal and champagne, we were then told there wasn’t enough time for it as they needed the table back. I had already asked for the tea 20mins before table needed but he must have made out he forgot then said we couldn’t have it!!! Afternoon tea….but no tea???!!!🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

   Good was good however service was not as good as expected. Delays to the main course however we were warned as we were waiting for the main course. Rushed at the end as they need the table for the next seating. They did take some money off the bill however still not the 5 star experience you expect from Millie’s at The Ned.

   Food was incredible and couldn't fault anyone's starter or main course. Christmas cocktails delicious. Only let down was the service; very slow at taking our drink and food orders then having to wait for the bill after asking a couple times. I think they may have been short staffed but not ideal during Christmas season and the price you pay.

   unfortunately it went from bad to worse we were 2 tables of 6 next to each other wrong bill, over charged, gave everyone wrong food not told 2 hours on table brought main out before we finished starter without even asking if we were ready gave desert menu at 9pm then said you need to be off table in 5 minutes. to top that off, on return from toilet i was stopped from returning to my table by a security staff who abruptly put his arm out to actually stop me walking!! worse night for my daughters 30th.

   Great place and atmosphere, good wine and fish and chips but steak pie at £36 was far from being average, dry and tasteless, pastry was also dry and hard 🤷🏼‍♂️.

   Unfortunately unlike other times I've visited The Ned the experience at Millie's Lounge was appalling from start to finish. When we arrived our table wasn't ready which is fine but we were just told to wait by the bar; once seated we asked for water which we had to ask for around 3 times before we all got served water; we ordered a bottle of champagne that took around 30 minutes to arrive - our afternoon tea was served before we got this and we had declined hot drinks as we wanted to have the champagne first. Our waiter didn't tend our table unless we managed to make eye contact with somebody to ask for our champagne glasses to be refilled; when we ordered a second bottle of champagne this also took such a long time to arrive and then we were told we only had 15 minutes left on the table. I spoke to the waiter who actually turned out to be the Manager that you know we have another bottle of champagne on order that hasn't arrived for ages and now you're telling us we have to vacate the table that we were seated at late. He said you can take your drinks to sit elsewhere to finish it - The Ned was packed on Saturday afternoon it would have been more appropriate for him to say we will find you somewhere to sit. When the champagne finally arrived I advised for him not to open it as we weren't going to drink it in such a short space of time. They then chose to extend our table by 45 minutes. He also said he would make sure the service was removed from the bill. When our bill arrived the service hadn't been removed and I had to request this to happen. We did have to vacate the table and nobody offered to find us an area to finish the bottle we had ordered. Such an awful experience given this was a Christmas celebration with friends and when dining at what presents itself as a high end establishment it was far from this.

   Afternoo Tea was lovely and we had a great time. We went with well behaving children and had a wonderful experience. The Service is outstanding. Highly recommend it.
