   Very noisy group with young kids - screeching, drumming , moving at dinner on Valentine’s day. Our waiter was disinterested in explaining the menu regarding substitutions where food alkergy was an issue. IIgnored us the rest of the meal. The other support staff were friendly and responsive. Roasted scallops were delicious but skimpy for the price. The bouillaibaise was not well balanced and too fishy. Goat cheese salad was good. Skipped dessert - didn’t think it would be worth it.

   Miramar Bistro is our favorite restaurant. Most of the time we would give the restaurant all 5s. Usually everything is excellent. On this particular occasion, I ordered something I don’t usually order—the crab cake. I suspect this is a totally different type of crab cake than the type I am accustomed to. It was particularly dense and heavy… not light. And the flavor was salty and meaty. The rest of the meal was excellent … especially the escargot. The chocolate terrine was good but I suspect it contained less butter than it used to. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and still rate the restaurant very highly. The service is top notch!

   Always a pleasure to dine at Miramar! It's like a quick trip to Paris (although I've never been!) via Havana (also never been!). Classic menu has exceptional variety, and the specials were amazing! Skate? Yum!

   This neighborhood staple has been around forever. The location is great and there is plenty of nearby parking. The very small interior is pressed upon you as you enter - passing through a curtain at the entrance you are standing at someone else’s table literally. On to the food. Meh. My skate with lime capers had no lime and instead was bathed in a brown butter sauce over a bed of indifferent chopped vegetables. My wife’s scallops just slightly overcooked and with a few grains of sand for fiber we de not need. Her crème brûlée completely burned on top. My banana bread budding a dense rectangle reminiscent of a flavorless brownie with no banana notes leaking through. But superb fried calamari appetizer. Lightly fried. Fresh. Prompt coffee service. Attentive waiters.

   Our food was delicious! The mussels are my favorite. I had a pomegranate martini, even though they make an amazing Mojito, and it was perfect. Great service and the perfect girls night before heading out on the town in Highwood. Highly recommend 💕

   The food is consistently great. The atmosphere is as close to Paris as we can get in Highland Park. Truly worth the visit and possibly a new habit.

    We went on a slower night and the staff was so kind! We definitely stayed longer than expected but they ensured we were made to feel welcomed and celebrated our friends birthday in style!
