   I was visiting from california and knew I couldn’t leave without having a crab cake. To my delight I was able to order a side of crab cakes with my chicken and waffles (superb). When I took the first bite of my crab cake I almost cried. The flavors were bursting in my mouth, the crab tasted fresh. It exceeded my expectations. I’m making sure Miss Toya’s is a place I hit every time I come to town! Not to mention the espresso martini is to die for!

   I went with a group of 7 friends and it was absolutely perfect! The restaurant called to confirm our reservation, accommodated our changes, and everyone was very professional. Our server, Najhmier, was absolutely wonderful! He was knowledgeable, honest, gave great menu recommendations, generous, hospitable, and fun. Our food came out quickly and just as we ordered it. Nothing had to be corrected or sent back. The drinks were perfect. We literally shut down the restaurant because we having such a good time. We didn't realize how much time was passing! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

   Started with the charbroiled oysters. They were cooked to death. So dry. The catfish was decent. Mac and cheese and greens were nothing to brag about. All edible except the oysters, but nothing special. Our waitress wasn’t the best either , but she wasn’t terrible. All parts of the experience were just average, so my rating is a 3 overall.

   First off the service is top tier. The bartender made amazing drinks and also gave amazing service. The only disappointment was the french toast was soggy and the collard greens were over cooked. But the fried chicken was delicious! But our server ensure we were taken care of for the inconvenience. I will definitely be returning.

   Chante and Erica were amazing! We had the treat of experiencing the cooking of Miss Toya herself and the food was AMAZING! I haven’t had a meal like that outside in a loooooong time! The music was fantastic.. all of the old school jammy jams. We were rocking. The food portions were huge. I had the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, greens, and corn bread. The deviled eggs for appetizer. Just so delicious. I cant wait to return.
