We've been trying to go here for awhile and yesterday it was nice enough to walk over. Our table was ready right away but we didn't get spoken to for almost 30 minutes. It was our first time dinning and no menus were given but the cocktail menu. Finally a manager came over and explained that they were understaffed and asked what we were eating. I told him we didn't get menus. He said you have to scan the QR code. Now - when I noticed we didn't have menus other people did so I didn't take a real look at the cocktail menu. Anyway, we looked and waited another fifteen minutes to place our order. The steak, filet, tasted BAD the table next to us ordered and said the same. The chicken tikka masala was fine, the chicken was tender but the flavor was still off. With so many options in Chicago I would recommend going somewhere else. Overall not a good experience.

Service was not good. Disappeared for long periods of time. Drinks took forever and then they were the wrong ones. I told the hostess and put in reservation notes that it was someone’s birthday, but they didn’t do anything and totally forgot. They brought us forks to eat ice cream. Hosts looked clueless; I checked in for my reservation and both of hosts were so confused and not sure what to do. Waiter was doing shift change and came to introduce new waiter and then left but we had been waiting for him to offer dessert or get the check. It felt like we were forgotten about. Restaurant is attached to hotel, weird crowd and ambiance. Despite everything, FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. But I haven’t had service this bad in a long time. It’s a shame: we would have ordered a lot more drinks and food if we had better service, and we would have tipped way better.

This was by far our best restaurant experience in our time visiting Chicago. I would highly recommend. Everything on the menu is sure bet.

Mushroom and lamb pot pies were savory and delicious. Butter mash with onion gravy was a great side dish, as well as the asparagus. Espresso martini - ❤️. Did not have room for the toffee cake dessert but would love to try next time!

It was perfect for what we needed. A place to eat with friends from out of town who were staying nearby (at the Sheraton River Walk) and it wasn't too loud inside. Yes, it was a little noisy, but we could still hear each other. That has to be one of the biggest things these days - people in their 30's to 70's all say the same thing. If they can't have a conversation in a restaurant (too much music or loudness of any kind) and the restaurant does not have sound-absorbing materials in their space - forget it. The food was tasty. Our server was OK. We like the atmosphere.

2nd time we went and better than the 1st, although first was outstanding as well. The food (prime rib) was to die for. Service exceptional. Live in this neighborhood and highly recommend !

We went for a late lunch so it wasn’t too busy. The room is very nice, clean and service was excellent. The menu was rather small and they did not have my 1st choice available. Fish and Chips were delicious. The grilled Caesar Salad was mediocre. The added chicken was spiced with curry (?). Odd to put with a Caesar. Overall we enjoyed but would like to see more choices.

Lovely. Nice environment like an old English library. The venison scotch egg was adequate, but didn’t really hint at venison (some might appreciate that :-). Unfortunately they were out of the prime rib sandwich, so I selected the chicken tikka masala: hot, fresh, and seasoned just right. The chicken was tender and well prepared. My wife had the shepherds pie and said it was excellent. We finished with the date sticky toffee cake: very nice finish.
