Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman is a place where foodies, beer lovers, and families escape the stresses of their day to day lives by enjoying an ice cold beer and a great meal while surrounded by people who consider them honored guests and friends.

Our restaurants are founded upon a passion for craft and we are dedicated to mastering the craft of food, drink, and merrymaking…with Aloha! Our menu features fresh island fish, hand tossed pizzas from our kiawe wood burning oven, and homemade pies made from scratch.

Thirty-six craft beers served at twenty-nine degrees are on tap, representing the coldest beer and best selection of microbrews on the island. Our culinary cocktails feature unique ingredients such as acai spirit, coconut water, and Kula lavender. Our passion for craft also extends to our diverse wine list, which emphasizes sustainability, drinkability and fun.

    Unfortunately our experience was not the best. I ordered the gnocchi and even though it tasted decent, the option was so small, I was still starving. My daughters ordered pizzas and they were cold and didn’t taste good. My husband orders the pork tacos. For $22, he received 3 small street tacos. My mom order the lobster and fish pasta. The pasta barely had any fish (mahi mahi) and the lobster was ok. Save your money and find a restaurant where you leave full.

    Compared to previous years their portions looked smaller. Food was good but not excellent for the price. Service was average. The main highlight of the dining experience was the live music and the outdoor ambience. We have dined here every time we have visited Oahu but unfortunately will likely not return.

    Was just OK - like expensive bar food. The mai tai was good but is smaller & in a plain glass. Used to be in a fun Hawaiian themed glass.

    The food here last night was just okay. Service is quick and friendly. Drinks including the pinky’s up was delicious. The selection of craft beers is also really good. We enjoyed the beet salad. The fish tacos were not great. The sauce didn’t mesh well with the tacos. Would not recommend them. The coconut pie was amazing! The musician playing last night was good and lively.

    Very disappointed. We love love love the beach house on Kauai! I’ll keep it very factual 1. Asked for a straw and never got :( not a huge deal… 2 asked for sugar for tea never got :( 3. Ordered the special but never said what kind of fish so my husband was given was seems Iike end of the night leftovers…. 4. My dish mentioned nothing about goat cheese and when it came I asked… they said oh yeah they add that,,,, so I asked them to remove it. Still tasted like goat cheese :( 5, all the staff was packing up to leave while we were eating and we were even asked what else we wanted because kitchen closed. This was 15 months ago after getting there. Why allow a reservation that late? Over all just bummed
