Moro and Morito chef proprietors, Sam & Sam Clark, opened their third restaurant, located at 195 Hackney Road in 2016.

    Some of our dishes were really poor . The squid was just burnt crumbs, the pork belly was horrible and the lamb was raw. Disappointing overall and not great value

    We walked in to the chef yelling at 2 staff members, and to have them walk away and no one greet us (let alone a smile). Service was slow, a few times we saw our drinks sit on the bar for a while watching the ice melt… unable to catch anyone’s attention (this happened before also) The food is incredible. Caters to a party of veggie and meat and peaches… we also love Spanish food One member of staff did her best to be smiley and present but was stretched thin. Everyone else mumbled, didn’t care, preferred to chat to other staff members Served by a gentleman who was rushing so unable to make eye contact or even understand what he had just placed on the table. Another female server simply looked utterly miserable the whole evening Luckily our friends are great company. That, combined with the food… saved the evening Second time visiting. Maybe last…

    Amazing food! I’ve been twice and the food has been amazing both times and really great value for money. Service is a bit variable, most recently we were served by a lady with short blonde hair who was very intense and quite pushy at times. She was clearly annoyed that we wanted to share a dessert and it was uncomfortable. I know service is a difficult job but her energy wasn’t what we were after. Aside from that, we love this place.
