   Great steaks and drinks. I had the crab cake and filet mignon special. Wife had the Cajun ribeye.

   This is hard to write as we have always loved dining at Morton’s. But last night the kitchen must have just been off, at least for our table. Bread was brought to the table and when we asked for butter, 10 min later a new bread with butter was brought out by our server (who was fantastic and did the best he could with the kitchen malfunction) 10 more minutes past and butter for the first bread arrived. That’s how the meal started. Ok no big deal, it’s just bread and butter. Then we ordered: Steak and baked potato and a steak and shrimp special- requested both steaks medium. Steaks arrived well done x2 (server requested us a new steak) also my shrimp didn’t come with my steak - shrimp came 10 minutes later with another steak (also well done) and shrimp were way over cooked. Dessert was included with the special I ordered and we asked for it just to be packed up to go along with the other ‘to go’ items. Got home only to find that the slice of Cheesecake didn’t make it into our bags.

   Been to Morton’s twice since Christmas to celebrate special occasions. First time our server was John. The second time our server was Jill. The highest marks to both of them for excellent service. Both know how to pace the service to make sure you enjoy every course and were courteous and friendly.

   They have the best steak in town. We went out for my birthday and they gave us a free cake

   We sat in the bar because we were told that the service is typically quicker. We arrived around 8 and needed to be somewhere at 9:30. We ordered our food and were brought bread and butter shortly after. Before we knew it, it was 8:50 and our food had not had arrived. Our service also never checked in on us to give us a status update or even take our bread away. It wasn’t until 9:06 that the server came over and told us that our food got stuck behind a big party and that we were the next ticket. At that point, we had no idea how long before the food would come and how much time we’d actually have to eat. We decided to just leave. While waiting for our valet, the manager (I’m assuming) came over to us to apologize and offered to bag the food for us because it had just came out. I thought that was nice. I can understand it was a busy night however, there is no excuse for the server to not give us some sort of courtesy check in during the time we were waiting. Had we known the food would take that long, we could’ve left and found somewhere else to eat.

   The food was excellent. I highly recommend the Cajun rib steak! Service was extremely friendly, but very slow. The waitress seemed to have too many tables to serve. As expected, prices are very high. Noise was moderate until a large group was seated near us, and then it became excessive. Overall an enjoyable experience, but not likely one we'll repeat anytime soon, mainly due to cost.
