20% gratuity automatically added to the bill for a party of two when the food and service was not even worth 10% gratuity. I ordered a starter that was served with my entree. We didn't have the option to order another drink because the waiter didn't come back to us. The wait time for a glass of water, a beverage, the food, and paying for the bill was more than half of the time we sat down. Very disappointing. We will not be returning. To make matters worse, they were preparing for two shows that night, so there were people hustling, taping cords everywhere, coming in and out of the restaurant. It was the worst dinner experience.

We were part of a party of 8 eating here for lunch on a Saturday shortly after they opened. We were the only table for a long while and by the time we left around 2:30 there was only one other group that was sat. The inside had a DJ doing his best to get the missing crowd going, but his speakers were blown out and crackling. The best part of the restaurant was the wait staff who were pleasant and patient as we took a while to select our dishes. The appetizers we ordered were yummy. The entrees we ordered were good too. We had one food quality issue in that the wrong dish was delivered and the replacement dish was rushed out by the cook... burnt on the outside; under cooked on the inside... and still it took too long. We would have returned the dish without it being burnt because we waited so long we were ready to leave. We spent 2 hours there, so we had plenty of time to enjoy a meal for 8... I think the staff and cook were not focused given we were at most 1 of 2 tables requiring their attention. When we tried to make reservations directly with the restaurant, we noticed their website had been taken over by what looks like a scam website. We ended up reserving through open table. I mention this because when we checked out the restaurant charged us $160 to uncork 2 bottles of wine we brought. We felt that an $80 corkage fee without notice was outrageous and requested they reduce the charge to $50 total. After several long phone calls to the manager via the local staff they relented but only after we threatened to not tip the local staff. We did tip the staff and pay the remaining bill in full. I don't recommend eating here.

The food was HORRIBLE! The worst meal I have had in years. The egg rolls were hard and greasy, the hot and sour soup was cold and tasted weird, the chicken in the salad was hard and it didn't taste like chicken. We left hungry. I would suggest going to McDonald's or Taco Bell. You will get a much better meal. There was only one waiter so the service was a bit slow, but he was friendly.

We enjoyed a pre-opera dinner on Friday night. It was very quiet which allowed for pleasant conversation. The assortment of bar bites and appetizers was extensive and satisfying. We selected the sliders, potstickers and calamari. They were ample enough to satisfy three diners. We also ordered the rice dish with Chinese sausage which was very tasty. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. We were very pleased and will return.

We never ate. There was only one waiter and when we arrived he was busy very slowly helping 2 different parties pay their bill at the register. It appeared that to get his attention, they needed to approach him. He never acknowledged our presence although we were in his direct line of sight. After about 15 minutes of waiting, we left. I have eaten at Mosaic a few times in the past and it was quite good. I ate there about 5 months ago and the service was not great (we arrived for a 5PM reservation and the cook had not arrived yet. ) I will never return nor recommend them to anyone.

The five stars is for the fish portion of the sea bass plate. It was like a gargantuan scallop fused inside a char-grilled steak. The outer edges had 3 different flavors. The grilled corners had a crisp flamed taste. Then the middle section had a glazed flavor. And it was topped off with something like a sprinkled crystal. Underneath this outer layer was the midsection, which had 2 more textures. There was a firm meaty texture with one part of the bass. Then there was a softer texture like medium rare steak. Finally in the center of the sea bass were 2 more flavor dimensions. This was were the scallop taste came from. And it was in this center portion that as it swirled around, the taste sensations went onto full maximum intensity. This high degree of flavor complexity only happens to me a few times per year, and it has never happened to me from eating fish. Sometimes chocolate yes. Sometimes with BBQ. Sometimes with the Matt Cain sandwich at Ikes too. But now I know this can happen too with fish. The chinese broccoli and the chicken wings orders were nothing remarkable. Just that sea bass.

Food was not up for o proper temperature and seemed it was sitting there even though we had been the only people with only two other tables occupied
