   Third time at Mr Hizola's. Last night was quite a disappointment. Our rice was burnt/smelt of gas. Asked waitress to send back. A new one was made and still smelt the same even the waitress thought so. She advised the use the same wok to cook over and over again and must have had burnt surface. Why wouldn't you clean this. Just disappointed that apart from a sorry nothing else from a customer service experience was done.

   We ordered three dishes and waited at least 30-40mins between each dish. Drinks service was fast. We were there for a birthday dinner and we were placed right next to the toilet laneway. Other guests arrived after us and left before us. Wouldn't be racing back here when there are far better options in burleigh and the Gold Coast.

   Good menu selection and good vegetarian options. However our food came out one by one and left thinks a bit awkward when we wanted to eat our food together and we’re waiting for the others dishes to arrive. Had to remind them about my dumplings we were waiting 30 minutes for. Food was quite small and stingy for what was paid. Left feeling quite unhappy with the experience

   We had a great night, food was excellent and the cocktails were magnificent. Make sure you’re hungry if you choose the banquet ($69PP at time of writing this Oct 24), they will give you containers if you can’t finish it. The pepper beef with mushrooms was a stand out! Staff were also friendly and responsive! Highly recommend!!!!

    Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. The food we found was extremely salty. The chef did remake however; it then came lacking in any flavour at all. Overall an extremely disappointing experience and will not return.
