   Love this place! The owner was incredibly friendly and even went out of his way to get a cushion for my dad’s back. Gonzalo was fantastic as our server and a sweetheart. Music was fabulous with Willy W. The food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back to such a friendly, upbeat, fun restaurant!

   First time at Mulligans. I really enjoyed the Shepherd’s Pie! Mom enjoyed the fish ‘n chips, husband said the short ribs were decent, good flavor, but not the most tender he’s had on the island. Dad didn’t care for the Corned Beef and Cabbage (especially the corned beef, he said it was fatty and tough) It also wasn’t one of the recommended dishes from our waiter, but he still went for it anyway:) Apple Pie was amazing! The best part of the evening was the Magic Show, (which is why we went anyway) and we will back again for the food and Magic with other people that we bring to Maui.

   Mulligans is a locals’ place but the word is obviously out for tourists as well. We (party of 2) went on a Sunday night on a whim since it was close to our hotel. You could hear the band inside from the parking lot so we knew it was a happening place! We did have a reservation and were seated immediately, outside, in the rear by Irish Mike, the owner. He greeted us heartily and when I asked “What do I absolutely want to eat here?” he replied in his thick Irish brough, “Short ribs, fish n chips, apple pie.” We’d heard that the apple pie, supposedly big enough for two to share, was one of the “big tricks” at Mulligans so we were looking forward to that. But it took 30 minutes for a server to take our drink order, and at least 20 minutes for them to appear. We saw how swamped the servers were so we ordered everything at the same time. It was another 25 minutes for our food to come out. We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks. It appeared that we had a different man each time one appeared at our table. Short ribs were good, so were the fish n chips which was mahi mahi fried with a crisp outer coating. Not oily and delicious, the “chips” were merely standard french fries and nothing special. Done eating, no one came to take our empty plates, and disappointed with the awful service, we left our table, went to the hostess at the front, told her what we had ordered (the pie never came after 20 minutes of sitting with empty plates!) and paid for what we were able to get. We did leave a generous tip for the server(s) who did swing by, it was obvious they ALL were overwhelmed. We give 3 stars due to the poor service, but if you like dancing to live music (70s hits,, mostly, which we like) on a postage-stamp-sized dance “floor” and a rowdy, though friendly, atmosphere, then Mulligans is your place. Can’t say we recommend it highly for food or service, though.

   Mulligans is a darling restaurant/bar and has the most amazing views! We were there on the last Sunday of the month to see and hear an amazing singer, Sheryl Renee, sing with the incredible house band. The music was fun and the dance floor was more than full. My only complaint would be they need a larger dance floor when Sheryl is there! It was so crowded and the waitstaff were overworked that night. But they all did the best they could.

   We had friends that told us about the magician/comedian who appears there on Thursdays named Brenton Keith. He said the food was really good yet affordable, and the show Brenton the Magician gave was super entertaining. What an excellent recommendation! Mulligans has excellent, fresh food. The owner, a very personable Irishman, oversees his establishment with pride. Prices were so good for the preparation and quality - our kind of place!! Highly recommend that you stop in if you are in the Wailea resort area. It’s a good time.
