From the OpenTable editors: Wife-and-husband team Michelle Karr-Ueoka and Wade Ueoka trained in MICHELIN-Starred kitchens from Napa to NYC before returning home to open what Eater calls one of the most essential restaurants in Honolulu. The airy, second-floor space has a big, bustling dining room for Hawaiian comforts like the signature mochi-crusted kampachi and wagyu beef sliders on housemade mochi buns.     The food was the best I’ve had since I had been in a Michelin star restaurant! The service was top notch, our waiter was very much knowledgeable. I had the tasting menu with its wine pairing. Everything cooked and assembled perfectly.

    Pleasantly surprised how nice it is upstairs. Food was perfect especially the shrimp escargot’s! Just amazing. The yuzu salad greens were so fresh and vibrant great yuzu dressing. Tofu was lovely as well. I ordered the gumbo it consisted of shrimp, squid, and I think craw fish in it with small bits of sausage very nice. My friend ordered the Kampachi and Somen noodles . Excellent as well. Will definitely be returning.

    Takes a second to get used to the location inside an exotic car dealership, but the service was super nice and we enjoyed ordering most of the starters to share tapas style as a family. Highlights were wagyu sliders and shrimp escargot-style. We also had very yummy cocktails. And we checked out some cars after dinner which our kids thought was quite cool

    Went to enjoy and celebrate a family member’s Birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Service was excellent, we had Alyssa and she was very knowledgeable about the menu.

    Long time favorite restaurant of ours for celebrations! They always treat us well when we dine there. It did seem a little more pricey this time. Everything was prepared deliciously. Service was great. Our waiter Wade is proficient and accommodating. All staff we encountered was truly friendly and genuinely nice/kind.
