We had the 9 course tasting menu without the matching wine. Whilst some of the dishes were fantastic (beef sirloin and boxsty, oyster and black pudding) some were pretty bland (spirit of ireland) and the main dessert. When you are paying £110 per person you expect all dishes to be of an extremely high standard, not just half. Service was good, especially the sommelier. Wasn't much of a story when giving out food dishes apart from what the ingredients are. Would we go back? Probably not.

Great food. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. Although pricey, worth for a good occasion.

Fabulous food - we had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Dietary restrictions were easily taken into account. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Only downside were the toilets down a steep staircase.

Excellent Irish produce, cooked imaginatively with first class technique. We had the taste of Ireland menu, which was well balanced and very well paced. As a lover of seafood the standout course was the crispy oyster with brandade. The Clonakilty black pudding deserves a mention as well, It was wrapped in potato and cooked perfectly. We didn’t have the wine flight but the wines by the glass were excellent. Service was attentive but not intrusive, the sommelier provided just the right amount of guidance and background information on the wines and the wine’s producers.

While the food was absolutely outstanding, the service unfortunately let the experience down. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, truly showcasing the skill of the kitchen. However, the front-of-house team did not match the high standard of the food. The waitstaff were observed drinking, giggling, and engaging in conversations that were inappropriate for a professional setting. Plates were removed before both of us had finished eating, which felt intrusive. Additionally, the wine flight, which was supposed to complement each course, arrived late for every course except the first—meaning the food was already at the table before the wine pairing arrived, missing the intended experience. It’s a shame because the food was exceptional, and with more attentive and professional service, this could have been a flawless dining experience. I hope the management addresses these issues, as the restaurant has great potential.

I took my mother for lunch as a Christmas present, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant had a very special but also relaxed atmostphere. The front of house staff were amazingly knowledgabe and enthusiastic about the menu. Our waitress Beth was extrememely helpful when discussing the menu and the wine list. She was polite, friendly and very professional, as were all the staff we encountered. The food was amazing! We particulaly loved the carrot salad and the amuse-bouche root vegetable soup with soda bread and Irish butter. Compliments to the chefs! Overall it was a wonderful experience which we will definitely repeat.

On arrival we were greeted by Ian and Daniel who looked after us all evening serving our food and drinks. There were four of us and we each had the 9 course Taste of Ireland menu with the wine selection. The service, knowledge and engagement of both Ian and Daniel was exceptional. Food and drinks - exceptional. Very relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. A true Irish welcome. It was our first time eating at Myrtle’s, it won’t be our last. It’s only right to mention the back stage staff who were also engaging in great customer service when the opportunity arose. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

This was my second visit. The first was for dinner and this time for lunch. Superb food with an interesting blend of flavours. Informative and unobtrusive service from Daniel. Ambiance lacks a little, perhaps due to the shape of the room. I will be back.
