About this restaurant

When we started out in 2017, we were cheffing up from the courtesy of our home in Portsmouth. It was all great fun and games until customers started showing up to our house for food collections… From there, we took a leap of faith, and a few box meals later, we had our very own market stall on Commercial Road. This was big for us. It was the first time we could connect with the community on a 1:1 basis and actually see customers fall in love after that first bite. Naturally, the food did it’s job, and as word spread, our small gazebo became a local sensation, bringing people together over plates of smoky and spicy delights.
Spicing Up the Community
Since 2017, our "fambily" has been serving up a modern twist on Jamaican cuisine and the community has been our rock.
Come down to our 'Shack' in Portsmouth to experience where it all began and feel the vybez!

    Quality of food was unreal, authentic Jamaican flavour and great value for money, would highly recommend, only negative I would say is amount of just eat drivers just barging in, other than this could not fault the evening

    Was a birthday treat. Food was okay but felt there was more coleslaw than anything else. We were asked to move when we were 10 minutes into our food so tables could be put together to accommodate 9 males, Katy also said its going to be loud! Drinks expensive as its only half pints in plastic cups.

    Great value, rustic Caribbean dining, on our doorstep! We booked a table for 6, were seated promptly, offered drinks and service was tip top. Food arrived in recycled food bowls, with bamboo cutlery - another nice touch. Gorgeous flavours and very reasonable. Would highly recommend the Sunday roast!

    the food was incredible, cooked well, GREAT service and vibe, especially considering we came on Valentine’s day. The cocktails are so nice too!

    Excellent food, delicious. Was very packed so it was loud but the atmosphere was lovely. Had to wait quite a while for the food to arrive as it was very busy but it was worth the wait. Also, had booked a table but had to wait 5 mins to be seated due to it being so busy but apart from this, it was an excellent evening 😀
