Next Door is the sister restaurant of Margaret, which, quite literally, sits next door to it at the corner of Bay St and Guilfoyle Avenue. Featuring a rolling 12-hour lunch-to-dinner menu, the bar brings you a selection of specially curated small plates such as Woodfire Grilled Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes with Oregano, Braised Zucchini with Mint, Chilli and Pecorino, as well as an amazing selection of Consorcio, Cuca, Pollastrini, Ortiz and Real Conversas tins with some freshly baked sourdough from Baker Bleu. It's also home to the famous Perry hamburger.
"It's just a place to get some really nice hospitality, chill out and enjoy your day," Neil Perry. Sandwiched between Baker Bleu and Margaret, the indoor dining area is cosy and comfortable, with marble-top tables and an open bar and kitchen.
We are located on Guilfoyle Avenue, off Bay Street.

Food and service was great, unfortunately the mishima burger was a real let down. To many wet ingredients for a burger and no flavour

The food was excellent, but the service was very slow. Our glasses of wine we ordered
sat on the bar for 15 minutes that we could see before we got the drinks served to us.
As you would expect the wine was warm by this stage.
We then had to get ice to chill our wines, which deleted the lovely taste of the wine.
We were then left feeling that the staff were rushing us and trying to clear the table as soon as we put our cutlery down.
Food terrific, but service was average for the price we paid.

Loved sitting outside with our dog. Perfection.
The food was good but not exceptional, except the outstanding but stupidly named donut peach tart (delicious). The shape of the original peach was irrelevant!! And the bread was also delicious from Bleu - where we regularly buy bread and their exceptional croissants.
The serving sizes were way too small - probably mimicking the expensive Margaret next door. Where the well heeled patrons would be used to small servings.
The waiter from southern LA was terrific - he was knowledgeable, efficient and very amusing.

Excellent champagne and the best Pinot Grigio. My partner’s Eggplant Parmesan was perfection and the Macy’s salad was fresh with a good mix of flavours and textures. Our waitress was lovely. The low point of the meal was the Crab Tagliolini. $42 for an ordinary pasta with a Tablespoon (if that) of crabmeat that had no flavour. Despite the chili, the only flavour that stood out was lemon. No complexity. I usually love crab linguine, but this rated one star.
