   This used to be a great steak house when I ate there 20 years ago but not today The shrimp cocktail was nothing to write home about And not even a nice horseradish sauce to go with it The dry aged steak was Tough and fatty The lobster tail was tiny and overcooked The only saving grace was the desert Which was the liquid chocolate cake Which was good but not great

   Their potato au gratin was the best i had The steak tastes good but could be better in terms of quality, i feel it’s a little overpriced. Staffs are great!

   We dined in on a Sunday evening. It was a nice ambience fun music playing in the speakers. Our host, server and servers were great. Very welcoming, and attentive. Literally everything we ordered and ate was on point so fresh flavorful and delicious. We Had The Wedge Salad that alone is worth coming back for. We had the BBQ shrimp appetizer, Dry Aged Ribeye with Diver Scallops add on both were fantastic. The Au Gratin Potatoes and broccolini. A perfect pair. You get a nice view of DTLA as you eat in the heart of it. Cannot wait to return to try the N&S Burger.

   The restaurant is very tired and outdated. Vibe was similar to an airport lounge. No linens on table or any lighting bright enough to do surgery. Steak came underdone….and was an average Ralph’s quality. Corn dish tasted suspiciously similar to the kind at TJ. Fries were best part. Crisp and kinda hot. Bartender made a good Martini and Old Fashioned . We passed on dessert.

   Always superb food. But this time, the server was aloof and seemed like he could no be less interested in making our experience fun and pleasant. Failed to honor our requests; and repeatedly rushed away from our table as fast as he could. We had to rely upon the auxilliary staff (people actually bringing the food; people clearing the table) to get what we needed. Very disappointing for this restaurant, and at these prices.

   The service was exceptional. Our waiter served us incorrect orders for our main meal. The Manager was very apologetic, sent us complementary salads before the correct main meal arrived, and in addition served us complimentary asparagus and mashed potatoes dishes to accompany our main meal and vegetables we had ordered. The waiter was also very apologetic about the mistake. We were very impressed how the Manager went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied customers, exhibiting old-fashioned and respectful manners.

    Had a great time celebrating our 25th anniversary. The servers recommendations were priceless. And the complimentary champagne was a nice touch. Best Steak House.
