    We are huge Nicola fans. We have booked many special occasions for the last 10 years. On 2/16 we took good friends that had not experienced Nicola and were extremely disappointed. The menu was greatly reduced for Valentine’s Day and we were not made aware when making the reservation. Price was increased per dish and favorites were not available. In fact, I had to order calamari as my entree as server was unable to accommodate my needs with reduced menu. Caesar salad was subpar with the end/core of the lettuce included with dressing glopped on the center. I think Nicola could have done better.

    We had been to Nicholas’s before for happy hour and enjoyed the ambience and homemade pasta. So we took the whole family – 10 of us - for my birthday. It happened to be on Valentine’s weekend and we made reservations many weeks in advance. We showed up and there was a very limited menu, with no exceptions. We were not told this would be the case in advance. My husband was looking forward to the lasagna, my daughter wanted the fettuccine and my son wanted their spaghetti and meatballs. None were available. My brother-in-law is vegan and his only option was calamari. In addition to that challenge, the service was extremely slow. It took forever to get drinks, take our order, and get our food. Once we got it no one checked back. We had to flag someone down to get grated cheese. Yet waiters were standing in the corners talking. Then, unfortunately, the food was subpar. I had the gnocchi and the peas and carrots in the dish were undercooked. The penne Lazio was mushy. For what was supposed to be something special – and was extremely expensive, it did not feel special. It felt more like eating at a large conference where everyone gets the same food. Very disappointed. Sadly, won’t be back.

    Food and service were good, but overall experience was disappointing as we had to eat at temporary wobbly card table set up in a very tight corner. Mentioned to server but they did not offer to move us. Understand it was Valentine's weekend but paying $100+ for two people should not have that experience.

    Celebrated Valentine's Day dinner at Nicola. It was a prefixed menu with a variety of appetizer, salad and dinner options. Service was too notch. We will definitely visit for future dinners and celebrations.

    Dined at Nicolas for the first time. Delicious fresh pasta dishes each one was a hit from penne to tagliatelle to gnocchi it was great. Desserts were delicious too. Gina our server was lovely.
