Luxury takes root in the heart of Austin at Nido, bringing the charm of the area together with the culinary techniques of coastal Europe, all perched above Lady Bird Lake and the energetic cityscape.

Nido is located on the rooftop of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake - recently named by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure Magazine as "one of the hottest hotel openings in the world." Nido nods to the surrounding and native Hill Country, giving diners a one-of-a-kind respite to experience worldly-travel through food. Nido’s selection of carefully crafted, seasonal menus are internationally-inspired with a focus on classical technique.

Reservations are available for inside the dining room and the dining tables in the bar. Lounge seating is available on a walk in basis in the bar and on the terrace for drinks and snacks.

Sitting outside on a lovely day at Nido is a slice of heaven. Great food, wonderful staff. We enjoyed the tuna salad and lamb ragu. Delicious.

The food was excellent! The Brussels were fresh and crisp while still being comfortingly warm. The rabbit ragu pasta and the beef short rib were amazing. Cocktails and Champaign were delicious with all courses.

We made a reservation on OpenTable. The staff was super friendly and was very nice and made sure we we warm outside. Great food with a great view, can’t complain. Definitely would come back!

Nido has emerged as one of the very best cocktail and dining establishments in our Fair city of Austin. The service is consistantly superb. The food menu rotates slightly, but always has the very light to the temptingly solid dishes on offer. And 8 floors up, in daytime, sunset and sparkling evening downtown lights, it has the best view south of Lady Bird Lake!

We took the day off work to celebrate my birthday with lunch at Nido, and it was a fantastic experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the food was just as impressive. My husband ordered the burger, while I went with the BEC Sammy—and both were perfection. I couldn’t resist the Dessert Dove cocktail—it was so delicious I ended up having two! The fries with aioli were delightful, and the brioche was toasted to perfection. To top it all off, they surprised me with an on-the-house, deconstructed tiramisu for my birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our waiter was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The only note I’d share is that since it’s December, it’s a bit chilly outside. They only had three heaters working, so we had to move to a table with a heater. It wasn’t a big deal, but it’s worth keeping in mind if the outdoor area gets busy. Overall, such a wonderful way to celebrate—I’d highly recommend it!
