Join us for a special one-night-only dinner celebrating the artistry of food and wine. Owner and winemaker Sam Bilbro of Idlewild has long pursued balance and grace in his Piedmontese-inspired wines, a passion mirrored by Chef Maria Clarke in her cooking as Chef de Cuisine at Nopa. Together, they’ve created a menu that brings their shared love for the region to life. This intimate four-course dinner, held on our mezzanine level, will be paired with thoughtfully selected Idlewild wines. Guests will be welcomed at 4:00 p.m. on March 23—an early arrival that offers a rare glimpse of the restaurant “coming alive” behind the scenes before dinner service begins downstairs. Throughout the evening, Chef Maria and Sam will share the stories and inspirations behind their creations, making this a uniquely immersive experience for food and wine lovers alike.

Nopa was a fantastic experience - haven’t been back for a decade and the food and service are as I remembered. Accommodated a seating request and a late guest arrival ; service was friendly and helpful. Food was exceptional. Best porchetta ever tasted; agnolotti was juicy; fried chicken was addicting. Great desserts; good bar experience. Won’t wait so long to return again. Parking is a challenge; take ride share and avoid the stress.

This was a special evening with Chef Scott Clark, author of the cookbook Coastal so maybe too many things were going on in the kitchen Some things were quite good , the snap pea salad and the gigante beans. The Korean BBQ beef. was a bit overcooked and had not much flavor although the sauce and the Kim Chi with it were great. The charred broccolini also lacked flavor other than garlic. Our Coastal cocktails, a pink peppercorn spritz and the bramble (huckle?) berry old fashion were delicious. the fried dough dessert was good but needed more of the maple mascarpone sauce or maybe a bowl that one could dip the beignets in. I am a big fan of Dad’s Luncheonette so I think that some of these dishes were “off”might have more to do with the event than the chef.

We used to love this place, but something happened and it's not quite the same. The service was horrible; the guy who served us made it his mission to be rude and give minimal service. Maybe he used to be a barista in the city? The cocktails were way more potent than the average ones and we got the face when we asked for something lighter. We woke up with a terrible headache like after a night at the club with the cheapest booze. Food was meh, again, nothing close to what they used to have a couple of years ago. Overall, very mediocre experience and what I would expect in the suburbs, and not in SF

Everything was ideal; I wouldn’t order $9 bread again. Two slices was pretty sad. Love Josie bread and felt it was ridiculous. Hands down the best burger ever. Have been coming over the years and does not disappoint. $9 for two small cookies was also a disappoint. Service was excellent.

Was going to be a few minutes late for our reservation, called the host & they appreciated the call and we still got to table shortly after arriving. Food was excellent and even better than that was the staff!
