We have been to Norman on three occasions. We learned from the first two that the bar is slow and making drinks. I made a reservation in November for December to celebrate my wife’s 50th. I also indicated on OpenTable the we were celebrating a b-day. We arrived Dec 7th right at 6pm and the hostess greeted us promptly. She the pointed behind her back and said or table was right here and made no attempt to walk us to our table so we walked ourselves to the area she pointed. Immediately behind her was two two person tables, a four top and the two more two tops. We chose one of the table and as we were seating ourselves the hosted came over and said that was the wrong table and the pointed at the second two top. There we found to water glasses already filled with water which we thought was a little weird. On the table was one menu. The hostess asked if we would like two and we said yes. She returned to her station and the leaned over the first two top and said here. That was odd….and lazy. My wife and I ordered appetizer of cranberry goat cheese a glass of wine a Paloma and for dinner beef short rib and cavatelli picata with no tomato. Our appetizer arrived in about 10 minutes but our drink didn’t arrive for nearly 20 mins. All three were tasty once we could have them together! The Cavatelli arrived full of sun dried tomato…I love picking them out of my food at a restaurant. The sauce was a bit loose to eat with a fork. I suggest a thicker sauce or provide a spoon. The beef shank, root veg and mash were all dry and overcooked! Not a good meal for the birthday girl! Our waitress saw my stack of tomatoes and apologized and offered a free dessert. She recommended the olive oil chocolate cake so that is what the wife ordered. I ordered a trio of ice cream. What would you expect from a trio of ice cream? I received 3 scoops of caramel gelato but I think it was regular ice cream. The wife’s cake was dry….too old or poorly baked? Total $150

I sat at the bar and loved it! I watched a beautiful sunset and had a lovely meal. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant and hotel were fun and hip! I will definitely go back again to eat and would love to stay at the hotel!

We ate on the outside patio for lunch and was relaxing with great food. The service was great too. A perfect spot to eat especially if you’re staying at the motel.

We enjoyed the prix fixe menu for Thanksgiving. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable in the menu options. Each item was beautifully plated and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was unique, like a step back in time yet quaint. We will be returning in the future.

We had a reservation for lunch on thanksgiving. We arrived a little late but they refused to serve us. We even asked just for a simple meal (burgers) because our kids were completely melting down due to hunger. They said “sorry, you need to leave.” Service at this place is horrendous. I can’t speak for the food, good or bad.

Fantastic experience. Beautiful setting and atmosphere. The food is top notch! Service is great. Only thing I could nit pick is they are way heavy on the ice with the mixed drinks. Definitely make the trip and enjoy a fantastic dinner!

We celebrated both a birthday and anniversary at Norman - and it was great - The waitstaff was personable and well trained. The food was very well prepared and tasty - proportions were good. My husband loved the burger..... I wanted to love the tuna crisps but they'd lacked flavor (but were pretty to look at). The goat cheese burrata was very good. The drinks were pricey. $9.00 for a beer is steep - $14.00 + for a cocktail drink that was quite small.... but we had a fabulous time and look forward to another visit. The ambiance was great - it's a beautifully curated space and did not disappoint.

What a unique experience being transported back in time to a roadside hotel that has been converted into a unique establishment. BTW the food in the restaurant was great.
