   My wife and I enjoyed our first visit to the North Shore Tavern. Although my wife was a little confused by having uncooked steak brought to her on a hot stone and having to cook it herself, I really enjoyed the experience, and my wagyu flatiron steak was outstanding - one of the best steaks I have ever had. My Black Napkins cocktail was also wonderful - it tasted like a mix between an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan, and I really enjoyed it. My wife raved about her Winter White Sangria cocktail, too. We were a little disappointed that in a half-full restaurant we were seated right next to other people, and close to the front door where we felt the cold air every time it opened, but otherwise we had a lovely dinner.

   Overall good experience with food and service. The one call out is one of the draft beers was old and definitely had gone bad. The server was quick and replaced the beer with another kind, but I have to say I’ve had this experience now at both Mike’s and North Shore Tavern. For a beer bar they need to pay better attention to the draft lines and quality of the beer.

   The only thing they season is the shrimp. It's a cajun seasoning...otherwise your meat tastes like flesh. They only use salt and pepper on your steak. I like the black rock experience, but they could really use some flavor for the meat. Otherwise, everything else was all good. The service was excellent. The price was a Lil rough for just a nibble of food.
