NOYA - のや
Written meaning ‘field’ and ‘arrow’

This is a fictional story imagined by a fantastical myth about a geisha samurai named Noya.

During the ancient days of Japan, a woman named Noya lived. Born with supernatural powers, she was entrusted with protecting the social and culinary secrets of her mythical people, the Kumaso.

Born with the heart of a warrior Noya was named and taught to master the way of the arrow by Japan’s first samurai, Taira no Masakado. Her mystic artistry made her a formidable adversary to those who sought to uncover the gastronomical arts and secrets of the Kumaso people.

Gifted with the power of immortality, Noya has battled throughout the centuries and travelled far and wide to protect the delectable secrets that she holds dear.

Here all are welcome to discover the culinary and social artistry that is now shared with all who desire to dine with Noya at Noya.

The restaurant was amazing experience. Location of the restaurant was in good travel distance from our local bus stations. driving to the restaurant, there were easy parking on the side roads. Great first date location. Great ambience visited on a Wednesday night and it was still quite busy quite active all around Great restaurant. Only surprising thing is they say they don’t use OpenTable for bookings, so try to book on their website.

Food was very good but the chicken wings could be seasoned a bit more as they tasted bland. The security at the door made me feel very secure and confident that I could enjoy my meal in peace. Unfortunately the dessert at the end (hot brownie with ice cream) was cold and tasted grainy, not enjoyable. Also, there seemed to be a lot of staff but only 2 were attending tables, this made us feel like we were waiting longer than needed to be served. The beef in the Kimchi rice and beef dish was too fatty and chewy and therefore was not enjoyable.

First time at this restaurant and the place is beautifully decorated and had a lovely feel to it. There were a few issues that I felt needed feedback on. 1st - Ordered champagne and the bucket was placed on the table. When the table was small, this should’ve been placed on stand (which was unavailable). 2nd - Seating was very close and cramped. The restaurant wasn’t busy! But they wanted everyone sitting in the same area. 3rd - Main meal - Black cod was lacking seasoning, not even salt! Tasted so bland and the mushroom rice wasn’t any better. The best part of my meal was the dessert - Brownie with sorbet. Service was excellent! But the food was very disappointing.

Wonderful ambience and top class service. A fantastic evening out with high quality great tasting food. Two negatives they need to fix. They don't accept American Express which for a high-end dining establishment is unacceptable, and the prices are somewhat over inflated, despite the great quality and taste. I would return though. Loved it.
