   We have high standards when it comes to rating restaurants. In this economy we want an experience that makes us feel like our discretionary spending was a good choice and appreciated by the restaurant. With so many dining options in Boston and Cambridge there is no reason to patronize substandard establishments. Oak Bistro was a great choice! The food was spectacular from apps to desert. The mains were exceptional and the service was excellent. The portions were more than adequate and the presentation showed the skills of a highly trained chef. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with comfortable seating, the space not overcrowded and a low noise environment. Absolutely a 5 star experience at 4 star prices. Do not hesitate to dine here.

   Our server Noelle is the BEST! The octopus appetizer and warm toffee pudding are Can’t Miss, and the wines are excellent and a good value. We are gleefully working our way through the menu.

   This was our first visit for my boyfriend’s birthday and the service was extremely disappointing and ruined my visit - I won’t go again. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a party of 8 originally. I put that it was my boyfriend’s birthday on the reservation. Two weeks in advance, I sent a message over open table to add two children. No response was provided. I called the day of to confirm if my children could attend and was provided an iffy response making it clear they would squeeze us in. The table ended up being cramped. The server was completely inattentive acting as if we didn’t need good service because she already was receiving 20% tip on the table through the add on fee for a party of 10. We got two orders of spinach dip special and there were only a few pieces of bread included. We had to ask for more. They failed to Clear our plates. We brought in cupcakes and there was a $30 cake cutting fee added to The bill yet she failed to bring plates or forks until I asked. We had to use an old knife. My dinner special was disappointing and the scallops one of our party had were tiny - only 3.

   My go to place when people come to town. Great options to make all happy. Food delicious and consistent. The service is really why I come back. They are always friendly and so accommodating. Love this place!

   Absolutely loved our server - we’ve had her twice now and she’s been super helpful, hilarious, and attentive both times. I’m ashamed I can’t recall her name at the moment - but the third time we go I’ll be sure to remember!

    The food was delicious. We orderd six dishes and 5/6 were stand-outs. Our server was very friendly and helpful.
