We were seated with no wait. Our server was friendly and helpful with suggestions. We selected the Blackened chicken & Linguini and the Braised Pork & Spatzle. Both dishes were very tasty and seemed even better than on previous visits. The slight miss was on the Pork dish which was luke warm although the plate was warm. It was replaced with a hot meal which made all the difference (along with a discount). Excellent selection of draft beers too. The ambience in the dining room could be softer and warmer color wise. The fireplace is a nice touch in the winter too. Overall a very nice dinner experience.

Not a good experience overall. Had 7:30 reservations & were seated on time, however sat for approx. 20 minutes before we were greeted & drink orders taken. Once food was ordered it was almost an hour before it was finally served, I had to approach the host stand to ask for a manager to come to the table since the delay was so long. The manager finally arrived with our food in hand & unfortunately offered excuses for the delay. Not likely to dine here again.

Wierd, dark decor inside but fabulous patio, great variety of taps and cocktails, perfect weekend menu and friendly service. Two thumbs up.

I have visited this establishment numerous times since its opening several years ago. I have never been disappointed until now. The quality of the three entrees we ordered was simply poor. The young waiter tried very hard to provide good service but was clearly overwhelmed as he was the only wait person for the entire outside dining area. Even our cocktails were substandard. What happened?

I gave Oasthouse 3 stars the last time I reviewed, but I just cannot this time. The restaurant was not busy.. it never is, but service is painfully slow. I don't know if it's the kitchen or if there's only one server for the entire restaurant causing the lag. Oasthouse had a restaurant week deal on the table - $45 for one salad, choice of 3 entrees and choice of 2 desserts. However, the math didn't math. The Vindaloo was around $13, salad was $6.99-12.99 depending on size (unsure of which one you would get with the 3 course meal), and I'm unsure of the cost of dessert as it's on a separate menu. So if you got the Vindaloo and the bigger salad portion, you're sitting at $26... That's one expensive dessert! Even if you chose the more expensive entree at $22.99, that's still not a good deal. When we went to order appetizers, they were out of the poutine and the cheese curds. So we opted to reach get a small portion of a salad. The portion was quite large. I would imagine the large salad would be quite a lot as an appetizer. My husband got the pork and spätzel for dinner. And it was 50% inedible fat. We tried to bring it to our server's attention, but she only asked if he wanted to order another entree. Unsure if we would have been charged for it, but either way, my husband left hungry. My beef ragú looked like the pasta had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. The flavor was good though, and I had enough left over to take home. We only came because I had $10 off from another bad experience. I don't think we'll be giving this restaurant another try. Keepers is a much better option. And the new Daisy lounge was excellent when we checked it out shortly after it opened.

Service was slow at lunchtime. We had a party of 7 and it wasn't a place you could get in, order, eat, pay, and leave in an hour. Food had flavor. Portions were a little on the smaller side.

This was our first time visiting Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar, and we will definitely be back. Our server, Ty, was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable about the beer selection, very friendly and also pointed out a food allergy for someone at our table. He was attentive and I would 100% ask for him again. The burger was delicious. Top 10 in Austin for me! If you have kids, they have a nice playground, and if you left the kids at home for a date night, I would absolutely recommend Oasthouse!

Our server was very sweet and professional but it took over an hour from when we were seated to receive our food, and then the food was very mediocre. Overall a very disappointing experience.
