NOTE: Please note parties of 10 or more please call for reservations. We are a small restaurant and requests for specific tables cannot be guaranteed. Reservations will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes. Please be sure your party arrives promptly.
This old time watering hole once known as The Clear Water Tavern, catered to the desires of the cattle drovers , a group of professional middle men who purchased herds of cattle and swine from New England farmers. They would drive animals down post roads to the New York City markets, and sell them “for as good a price as they could get.”
Today Old Drovers Inn offers a unique casual dining experience for everyone including pub night every Wednesday. Be sure to have a specialty cocktail featured on our cocktail menus. We are proud to have won two consecutive years in a row from Chronogram Magazine, Best Bartender and Best Craft Cocktail of the Hudson Valley!

Used to be a quality visit. Now the food was average, the service was very pleasant but rather unfocused. The ambiance was still of ye old Country Inn, but surprisingly uncomfortable. Too bad.

It was a disappointment. I had gone many times years ago when it was still the authentic ODI experience. This isn’t the same but I realize time marches on and this needed to be something for a new generation.

Always a great meal with excellent service. The waitstaff is always superb in every way. And the Bartender, a top notch mixologist, makes several great cocktails. Several choices on the menu with additional daily specials. The fried calamari is excellent, also the prime rib, tuna tower nachos, and anything else we have tried. The atmosphere and ambiance is quaint and just beautiful, it's the perfect dining experience for a night out or special occasion.

Classic old tavern venue. Comfortable with exceptional service from some very busy waitresses food very good. But portions a bit too large which some may not consider a criticism. Good value especially drinks.

We arrived a bit early but Drovers was very accommodating. Cocktails and our meals were so creative delicious and outstanding. Our servers were caring , sincere and genuine.

We returned to Old Drovers to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Couldn't have been better...excellent food, service and ambience. The only improvement would be a better craft beer selection.

Reservation mix up. was very slow - we arrived just after 7. . Our table was not available and eventually we were seated at a high top - problematic for me. All tables had candles but ours and it was very dark. Staff ignored us but for Jean who sat us and was very attentive and concerned that no one gave us any menus or any attention- had to ask twice to get a wine list. At 7:44 someone finally took our dinner order. Shout out and thank you again to Jean for caring.
