   Staff were friendly and professional. Advised on best wine with the meal. It was a Sunday evening, we arrived slightly early to the time booked but were still shown to our table. We were given the Sunday roast menu to which three had the beef and I had the lamb. The food tasted great with compliments from my guests. One asked for horseradish sauce to which was provided immediately. My lamb was a little chewy in places but overall was good. The gravy was outstanding in flavour and my guests also commented equally. This was a second visit to the Old Swan for me and two guests, the previous visit being about a year ago and both times were a great experience. Many thanks to the Old Swan and its staff

   The pub is way too expensive for the type of food served and service is very poor. Staff very unfriendly. On arrival there was a lady busy looking at a piece of paper by the till. Did not acknowledge us at all or say she will be with us shortly. Pub was empty not like there were any other people waiting. She eventually showed us to our table but felt like she was doing us a favour by taking us to our table.

   The whole experience was disappointing. We checked the menu on the website and it offered brunch and snacks which was what we wanted. On arrival we were presented with a full lunch menu and at least three main items were not available. The food was mediocre and overpriced and the service was slow. Altogether a forgettable experience which is unfortunate as the setting is lovely and this could be an excellent excellent venue for a Cotswold pub lunch.

   Food wasn’t great. One vegetarian option which was a very salty crumble. There was a large Christmas party who were talking so loudly right next to our table as they waited to be seated. Service was very slow because of that large group. The waiter offered to take the tip off as service was so slow but the service was the best part to be honest so I still gave them 10% tip

   Disappointed. No log fire, and it was cold. The restaurant side felt more cafe type furniture, cutlery, napkins, crockery first class as you would expect. Vinegar in plastic packets were a let down. The food was very good. Shame as not what you expect from the website and when you see from outside

   We booked a meal at the Old Swan to celebrate my birthday. However the Old Swan didn’t acknowledge it all even though I put it on my reservation.We requested a nice table and hoped that the restaurant may have given us something to celebrate my birthday particularly as other local restaurants do. The meal was nice enough but so expensive. You pay London prices I will not be returning to the Old Swan or to the Minster Mill where I stayed.

   The old Swan is a lovely place, very Cotswold, the staff are very friendly and made us welcome; the food could have been better, to expensive for the quality, drinks far to expensive

    On arriving they could not find my booking which was a little embarasing . I had a confirmation on my phone but did not have it with me. The food was average. The Staff were very attentive.
