Welcome to Oleum Vegan Kitchen, where Chef Adibe brings a fresh, creative approach to vegan cuisine, inspired by her almost 30 years of experience in the service industry and a deep passion for plant-based cooking. Originally founded in Okinawa, Japan, Oleum is now a Baltimore gem, located just a short drive from the National Aquarium and very close to the Baltimore Visitor's Center.

We enjoyed a pleasant experience. They are brand new and just getting started. The seating was indoors but in the open. The server was very nice. She checked back to clear plates and check on us. The food came out at different times, so it was staggered. It tasted very good. The kids did not like the vegan cheese. But the pizza was well received, as was the soup.

This place is a gem. At a time when all-vegan restaurants are becoming harder to find again, Oleum Kitchen comes out strong, offering a high quality diversity of food that is sure to please both vegan and nonvegan diners. The service is also outstanding, with the servers very attentive but not obtrusive. Baltimore is so lucky to have this special place.

The food at Oleum was excellent! Everything is vegan and there are many gluten-free options. Every single dish we ordered was fresh and delicious. We were greeted warmly by the hostess, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Our only complaint was location. While the view of the harbor was lovely, the open setting close to the main building entrance was not ideal in the chilly weather. They had a portable heater set up and a screen to block the cold air, which was helpful, but we were still not very comfortable. Also, we are hoping they get their liquor license soon!

The food and service were fantastic. The pizzas are great, but if you only have room for the spicy potatoes and the cannellini beans with fresh bread, go that way. We will be back for some of the pasta dishes, too. The location - weird. It’s a Baltimore harbor front restaurant so the view is great. However, it’s inside the failing Harborplace so the vibe is off. They have their sites set on a new location. It’s BYOB, which I wish I’d known because that’s a big plus for us since it lets us bring what we like to drink. We enjoyed our visit and will be back

Had an awesome time here. So many vegan selections to choose from. Excellent recommendations from our waiter. For starters we shared batata harra (a potato dish) and the cannellini tapa (our favorite). For our main we were able to share a harvest salad and a pizza - half meat lovers and half toum raider. Dishes were large! Our party of three was pleasantly stuffed! In the fall, it was packed and we didn’t have a reservation. This time around we set up a reservation. Very pleased with our whole experience!

What an odd experience. My party was very excited to try Oleum...however it took us quite a while to access it. We found it in a hallway of the empty Inner Harbor right by the door to the very cold outside. We were seated and sat for quite a while before we were greeted by a server and had water served. We ordered right away because we sat looking at the menu for so long. We ordered 2 apps, soup and 4 entrees. Here is the order that we were served: Entree #1 - we all watched her eat her meal...10mins later... Soup arrives - all watched me eat that.....5mins later... Entree #2 arrives - we wait.....10 mins later.... Apps arrive - marcona almonds and potatoes.....5 mins later Entree #3 arrives......everyone finishes Entree #4 arrives and everyone watched me eat Crazy!

While our menu notes that items come out as they are ready, we understand that this should have been clearly communicated by your server. We are always working to improve our service, and your feedback helps. As an independently owned restaurant, we chose our location because it provided an affordable opportunity to bring our vision of vegan dining to Baltimore. The space does comes with many challenges, however, we are committed to providing the best experience possible with the resources we have. It is so refreshing to go to a restaurant that not only has incredible food but the staff is so welcoming. I had the Quiche Me, I’m pizza and it was amazing. The pizza dough and toppings were so flavorful. We also got a Cinnamon roll and what can I say but WOW! Thank you for the amazing food.
