Chef Keisuke Harada was lured to Puerto Escondido from Kyoto Japan to set up Kakurega Omakase, where he carefully executes the ﬁnest ingredients into an extraordinary work of art in front of visitors. Immersed in the Oaxacan jungle and next to Hotel Escondido, Kakurega Omakase features a simple, elegant design where nature and food collide.

Una experiencia increíble, muy privada y romántica. La comida es excelente y el servicio aún mejor. Una mención especial a Yeyé, que nos acompañó toda la noche y fue absolutamente encantadora. Es un privilegio poder cenar en un sitio tan especial. Lo disfrutamos muchísimo!

We had a wonderful experience at KO. The food was delicious, beautifully plated and the service was excellent. We enjoyed talking with the chef who was so helpful with suggestions for our upcoming Japan travels. It’s a lovely setting and I would highly recommend it.

La ubicación es única, la atención del staff es amable y eficiente. Carta de vinos pequeña, de buena selección y a precios razonables. Interesante carta de sakes, los platillos muy buenos, pescado muy fresco. Aunque para mi gusto podría mejorar el grano de arroz y quizas considerar reproducir música instrumental japonesa. Mi recomendación para quien visita este pequeño gran restaurante es: anticipe su llegada y utilice repelente para mosquitos

Food was ok, that’s all. We expected way much more because we came highly recommended. Service was fair, everyone was tired and in a rush and wanted to get things over with and leave. For the price, we don’t think it’s worth it.

We’re far from sushi experts, but we know great sushi when we taste it. Recommended by Chef Q from Hokkaido in Laredo, TX, our long-awaited Omakase experience with Chef K at Kakurega Omakase in Puerto Escondido was nothing short of extraordinary—beautiful, delicious, and a true feast for the senses. Well worth the wait! HOPE to be back soon and hope to see you in Laredo Chef K. Gracias!
