Ometeo is bringing an elevated version of classic, comforting, & nostalgic Tex Mex cuisine to Capital One Center in Tysons, VA. Brought to you by Long Shot Hospitality, the group behind DC's hit restaurants The Salt Line and Dauphine's. Inspired by the ingredients, techniques, and heritage from West Texas down to the Gulf Coast, Ometeo's foundation is firmly rooted in Tex Mex tradition all served up in a fun and dynamic environment. The restaurant consists of multiple carefully curated dining spaces and three different bars- Main Bar, Outdoor Bar, and Cadillac Lounge Bar. Reservations are available for four distinct areas : Main Dining, Outdoor Dining, Main Bar Booths, and Cadillac Lounge. We accept Open Table reservations for groups of up to 8 people. Good food and service. If both improved just a bit, the experience would match the cost and it would be a good value. For now, it’s a great looking new venue in a great location that is just a little pricy for what you get.

Last month we had a great visit and experience. Last night (Friday after Thanksgiving) our dinner was mediocre from the Margarita to the Beef and Chocken Fajita platters. We probably won’t go back.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed Ometeo! Highlights were the lobster tostadas and the tacos de costra. The margaritas were strong and tasty. Flavors were wonderful (more flavor than typical texmex). Environment was loud and high energy (not for those looking for a quiet date night). Overall, this is a great spot for those looking for a solid mexican meal.
