Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life.

Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant.

That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner. Ed’s training in Bologna, considered the food capital of Italy, and Marco’s upbringing in Palermo, known for its incredible street food, bridge northern and southern Italian culinary tradition in a way that’s never been done in Salt Lake City.

    This is by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever experienced. The food is truly amazing!! I’ve eaten here three times in the past 6 months and have had an excellent experience each time. Everything I’ve had including appetizers, soups, salads, main dishes and desserts have all impressed me. It is a treat each time we go. Love it!

    Delicious vegan pasta with mushrooms and artichokes; I am not a plate cleaner but it was all gone when I finished. Delicious! Yummy bread too. Passed on desert but they sounded great.

    Great service. And food perfectly prepared. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Price a bit on the high side and parking was hard to find. Overall we loved it and will go back.

    Had a wonderful dinner! The food and drinks were amazing and the service was outstanding! Truly, one of the best cappuccinos I've had outside of Italy! It is no wonder that you need a reservation.

    We went to the restaurant before the play at Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The service was impeccable as usual. We had a lovely bottle of wine and we split the Mediterranean salad and a delicious pizza. The service, was very timely and we made it to our place with plenty of time to spare, this is our favorite restaurant to go to before plays at the Pioneer Theatre Company.

    Absolutely fantastic! There were 4 in our party and each dish was exceptional! We also love a restaurant that still serves bread, thank you. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough, truly superb! One of our new favorites!

    One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Lamb chops were amazing! My wife always gets the Regina pizza, and it never disappoints! The staff is always welcoming, and we love our bartender!
