   This is a gem just a stone’s throw from the Piazza Navona. Really good straightforward Italian food with great service. Head and shoulders above the various touristy restaurants nearby and yet very good value.

   Lovely meal here with family - 2 adults and 2 kids. Food was superb, service great, staff very friendly. Would recommend.

   Tucked out of the way, this was a charming restaurant with excellent service. The food included a good range of Italian classics that were all very nice. Excellent value for money.

   When you offer a set menu, it would have been nice to have the menu introduced. The good was ok, but not better. A little Pricy.

   Sorry but we did not like at all the capodanno dinner . The staff was nice but not aware about what they were serving. We hope that the regular dishes of this restaurant are better.

   Ich hatte das Vergnügen, die Osteria del Gallo in Rom zu besuchen, und es war ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis. Das Restaurant überzeugt mit seiner authentischen, gemütlichen Atmosphäre und einem Service, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die Speisekarte bietet eine Auswahl an traditionellen römischen Gerichten, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet werden. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Cacio e Pepe, die perfekt abgeschmeckt und cremig war – eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion! Auch die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend und ergänzt die Gerichte wunderbar. Das Personal war überaus freundlich, aufmerksam und ließ uns fühlen, als wären wir Stammgäste. Zudem stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut, was in der touristischen Umgebung Roms nicht selbstverständlich ist. Die Osteria del Gallo ist ein Juwel in der Ewigen Stadt und ein Muss für jeden, der die echte römische Küche erleben möchte. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   The drinks and appetizers at this restaurant were very good. For the main course, it was very disappointing. Two of us got the cacio e pepe and both thought it was flavorless, watery and the pasta was way too hard. One of us ordered pasta with clams and mushrooms and there were no clams in the pasta at all. Although it may have been a flavor in the sauce, it made the meal less flavorful. One of us got the lasagna and that was an alright dish. Lastly, one of us got the lamb chops, which had no meat on them at all, only fat. We also saw the table next to us ordered the lamb chops and had the same problem. Both my table and the table next to me complained, as how can one eat lamb chops if it has no meat? The mashed potatoes that came with them were cold, so the whole meal was terrible. However, the man who owned the restaurant was very kind after we told him how unhappy we were with the lamb. He made a whole new order with meat on the bone this time and that was 1000 times better. However, I don’t understand why that portion couldn’t have been served to begin with. Again, the owner was very kind and we appreciated the second attempt at that meal. Overall, it was an alright experience, but definitely lacked in the main courses.
