Giorgio Pierangeli, Owner and Founder of Pecorino Restaurant, has partnered with Celebrity Chef Nicola Mastronardi to bring an authentic Italian Osteria dining experience to one of the oldest and most iconic buildings in Brentwood. Osteria Vera offers a cozy yet upscale setting. The menu is a testament to Italian culinary excellence, featuring homemade pasta, regional specialties, grilled or roasted meats, pizza, and fish.
Both Giorgio Pierangeli and Nicola Mastronardi are graduates of culinary schools in Italy and have honed their skills in some of the finest establishments across Italy, Europe, and the USA. Chef/owner Nicola is one of the top Italian chefs in LA. He is at the center of Osteria Vera, in their open kitchen, preparing and overseeing the preparation of everything. His food is delicious. We had the Hamachi crudo, topped with lemon and shaved bottarga, the Lechuga salad, another pasta dish with spaghetti and more bottarga (our favorite) and the roast duck. I love duck and this was prepared perfectly; meaty and tender pieces with crisp skin. The service was excellent; friendly, attentive, well paced.

Great meal! Food was so good, service was great, and it was lively for a Tuesday night which made it fun. Also had many fun and delicious specials which added to the already amazing menu. Will definitely be back

Second time meeting here Felt very rushed by the waiter The zucchini blossoms were much greasier than the first time I had The lamb chops were very good, but in way too much sauce with the couscous Still like it a lot, but really felt rushed

This has become our new favorite restaurant on the westside. The food is spectacular, which is something you mist hear often. The watstaff however is most excellent. We made a reservation including a wheelchair user and found that the hostess had planned for us, preparing a very accessible table , removing the chair and graciously directed ua to our seat without need to mention. Likewise, our disabled party member requires a straw to drink since raising the glass is not possible. Not only did the waitstaff rapidly secure a straw when asked, he noticed as our meal went on that we might be better served with a taller glass that better positions the straw. He subtlety came with a new glass and straw which made our meal more enjoyable. These kindnesses seem small, but never in the past 10 years dinig in the westside have we encountered such a thoughtful, kind and professional waitstaff. Thank you. We will become regular patrons. cacio de pepe , egglpant rolls, tortelli and gnocchi are the best we have tast

We had the best dining experience EVER! The food was fantastic (langoustine appetizer, zucchini blossoms, focaccia with truffle cheese spread, lemon tagliatelle, lamb chops, and bread pudding for dessert). Our server, Jean, could not have been more welcoming and fun. Alessia (also a server there) was extremely friendly and made great food suggestions. The chef, Nicola, what can I say? His dishes are masterpieces, and we felt like we were in someone's home in Italy. He came out from cooking to visit with us for quite some time. We closed down the restaurant for the night and will DEFINITELY be making this one of our go-to neighborhood restaurants.
