   Our server Noel was very knowledgeable and helpful. The cocktail of the day, Apple Pie, was delicious and had a heavy pour. We really liked the mushroom side dish. It was a great experience.

   We had dinner upstairs in the main room of our paladar with Nowell as our sever and he was so kind, intentional and smart! We were full but left enough room to sneak downstairs to the new area they are calling the Palmetto for drinks and dessert- Alex was out server downstairs and was super attentive and quick to help us get settled! Appetizers, sides, Amin course, drinks and dessert- all so good! Easily our favorite place to go in town!

   Food and service outstanding. Love the Cuban influences. I had the Jerk Wings (best ever), Pappardelle (superb) and mushrooms(ditto). Tyler my server was outstanding - always anticipating and even brought a warm towel and lemon after the jerk chicken wings. Wine list is varied and eclectic. Lastly the guava/mango sorbet was a perfect ending. I am here for cancer treatment and Our Paladar is part of my healing!

    This restaurant is in a beautifully renovated train station just across the river from downtown with plenty of free parking. The service was extremely attentive, but not intrusive. Non-alcoholic cocktails are offered and the two we tried were lovely. Mojito is not in the menu, which is surprising for a Cuban-Italian fusion restaurant, but I ordered it and it was delicious. Every dish was exceptional. We started with the burrata, a wonderful combination of burrata and tomato on toast on a mint pesto with pea tendrils and a slice of guava. Ample for 4 to share. The Caesar salad was unreconstructed. While this was not traditional, the anchovy infused crouton crumbs pulled it together. Because it was primarily the core section of romaine, it was more bitter than I would have liked, but still a good choice. Outstanding was the short ribs in risotto dish, but the two fish entrees we ordered were superb. Our server, Lydia, suggested the char over the corvina and she was right. I ordered the corvina, and it truly met the mark for what I wanted. Tasting the char, I could see why she tried to direct me to the char, but I loved both. We ordered a trio of cannoli for dessert. I love cannoli and these were among the best I have ever had with a light lemony flavor. There are several excellent restaurants in Rochester. We’ve been to Lat 44, Mill Valley Kitchen, Thai Pop, Chesters and Terza and would recommend them all. Our Parador, which has only been open a year, is a fitting addition and won’t disappoint. In a city where, as patients at Mayo are a captive audience, it has been surprising. While the background music could have been toned down a bit, it didn’t interfere with easy conversation.
