   This restaurant is situated in a grand old historic hotel. The high dome ceiling is ornate and the chairs plush and comfortable. We were seated quickly and water was arrived promptly. Although many other tables were empty, our table was located next to exit of the bar where the cash register was located. Our table was so close to the exit that waiters and waitresses passing by frequently had to turn sideways to exit. Despite our proximity to the waiter, it took a very long time before our order was taken. French onion soup arrived hot and the bread and broiled cheese topping tasted delicious. The onion soup lacked salt and tasted oddly sweet. There was taste of vinegar and no detectable wine. The chicken souvlaki was overly salty and had a slightly rubbery texture....it was okay The tzatziki sauce tasted commercial and bland. The accompanying half pita, cut into four pieces, were dark crispy almost burnt on the top. The cauliflower arrived covered in a white sauce with an oddly sweet flavour, topped with a fine grey powder mixed with dried green chives. I disliked the sweetness and the odd flavour of that sauce....The topping looked unappetizing. I disliked the taste of the herb/grey powder topping. Perhaps the grey powder was breadcrumbs but it didn't taste like it The cauliflower came as steak and was very hard. I had difficulty cutting it. Although I dislike soft limp vegetables, I do like them cooked enough so that I am able to cut them. I asked to replace the cauliflower with plain steamed asparagus with plain butter. That was delicious and perfect. My decaffeinated latte was on the mild side but nice...I would have liked it a little hotter. The creme brûlée was small, smooth and delicious. The topping was crisp and nicely coloured but oddly very cold. When the bill arrived that I was charged for both vegetables but it was fixed. I have experienced much better service and food here so I will give it another chance

   The food was excellent. The service was delightful. Great waiter, very attentive, very friendly. Specifically chose the restaurant and time so it wasn’t too loud and didn’t disappoint. Overall, we all had a fabulous time and will go back.

   Excellent dining experience in a classy atmosphere. Decor and menu reflect the original vintage of the Fort Garry Hotel. We were impressed by the service and would love to go back.

   The bison carpaccio and moules frites were excellent. Our waiter was professional, knowledgeable and very nice. I had asked for a quiet, romantic table after a spa treatment and the host kept a prime window table free for us. The room is gorgeous, prices were reasonable and I learned what a 'pot Lyonnais' is. I highly recommend this restaurant.

   I love this place!!! Our food was cold and felt like we were quite overlooked. The room is amazing and I’m sure it was a one off. Just not a great experience this time ☹️

   Haven’t been there in years and was just reminded how great of a restaurant it is. Food service and ambiance were all excellent prices were very reasonable too when comparing them to similar experiences.

    Food was great, service was slow. When food arrived it was cold (fries and potatoes). The waiter who served the person next to me, served it over me, after they had put my food down.
