Chef Will Gilson and the team behind Puritan & Company are thrilled to introduce you to Puritan Oyster Bar! We offer limited reservations, but always hold space for walk-ins! The space is a bit more casual than our sister restaurant, with a focus on fresh seafood and an incredible cocktail program.

We did the oyster shucking class and it did not disappoint! Do not eat before because that appetizers were plentiful and incredible! There was half of a lobster roll for every person with a bunch of other incredible bites to eat including a caviar cone. There was a nice charcuterie board as well as a fish pate. One drink of choice included with the ticket and I had an incredible cocktail. The staff overall was great, the class was simple, down to the point, with plenty of personal attention. Chef made us feel right at home and interacted with everyone. Right after the class you could stay for food and more incredible cocktails. I would recommend this as a great date night. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the full meal. Oysters were fresh with a good variety of choices.

Wow! We wanted spot-on food but not a heavy drawn out meal. POB delivered. Swordfish pastrami- most incredible dish I’ve had in a long time. Cozy spot on a cold January night. Server was lovely , engaging, knowledgeable, helpful. Have already planned our next visit!

This exceeded my expectations. Everyone from the bartender to the Exec Chef, Alexis were were friendly and professional. The price was well worth the experience and highly recommend this to anyone. We mentioned Gluten Free at time of reservation and they made sure we had our own snack prior to the oysters that were GF Friendly. Loved it

We made last minute reservations on a Monday night during the holidays. A great time to go. Plenty of tables and seats available. There were two servers - a bartender and a waiter. It was a calm and relaxed environment, which enhanced our experience. We had somewhat modest expectations for Puritan Oyster Bar. Not a lot of restaurants were open on Monday, so POB was sort of a compromise. Or so we thought. The quality of the food and drink were much higher than we expected! We surmised that the Oyster bar is where Puritan experiments with new dishes. We mainly got smaller dishes, which were packed with flavor and texture. All but one dish were huge successes. I'll start with the bad - the overpriced, under-filled buttered lobster toast for $23. I didn't taste any lobster or seafood and it certainly wasn't visibile. The standouts were the Swordfish Pastrami, the butternut bisque, the Cod? Cheeks (deep fried, with Kimchi and a green paste), and Stuffie Croquettes. We enjoyed the Smoked Bluefish Melt but it was very fishy (as you would expect with bluefish) and not as deeply pleasing as the other dishes. Drinks were well constructed and had deep, herbaceous flavor. The Ginger Cake dessert was too small for three to share and it was hard to cut with a spoon. Could have done without it. Three people with one drink each came to $217 including 20% tip. We are excited to try the main Puritan & Co next door, with a larger, more traditional seafood menu.
