We always look forward to dining at the Oyster House, and we're never disappointed. The service can't be beat - personable, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and quick. The excellent menu does offer non-seafood options, but why then go to an oyster house?! Vibrant, busy and crowded is what we expect and enjoy here, not for quiet romantic dining. Easily among our top restaurant picks in the city!

I’ve been to Ouster House countless times, but this was my friend’s first time. She loved it and she enjoyed trying both the raw and grilled oysters, among other things from the menu. Patrick, our server, was AWESOME!!!

High value from start to finish. Service was outstanding and the food from a fig salad, grilled oysters, a squash side dish, fried anchovies, skate wings, halibut and a pecan pie topped with chocolate covered vanilla ice cream was first rate. A reasonable wine, beer and cocktail section rounded out the menu. Prices were moderate considering the quality. The good humor and friendliness of staff were notable as well. A very enjoyable experience.

Great seafood, some of the best in the city, but expensive. We’re big oyster fans - selection was extensive and shucked perfectly. Snapper soup was outstanding per the usual, and stacked lobster roll was light on mayo with proper toasted & buttered roll. Our waitress, Charlotte, was great - good service and knew flavor profiles of all the oysters off the top of her head. Lack of a sparkling rosé on the menu was a disappointment as were the cheap crappy oyster crackers. Best bet is hit happy hour - that makes this place great and a price that matches the atmosphere. Problem is it’s a zoo so get there 45 to an hour early to secure a spot.

We have been going to the oyster house for years. It is a generational restaurant….our parents before us…Lunch, dinner, late night!! It is consistently wonderful.. We most enjoy when we sit at the Oyster bar., but to really enjoy the amazing grilled whole split lobster .. get a table!! Service is great, drinks are great, bartenders are fun!!
