   Loved the experience. Hadn't been back in years and the standard of excellence remains the same. Can't say that about other notable restaurants we visited during our stay. The crusted fish and seafood cheesecake appetizer never disappoint

   First time back to Palace Cafe since before COVID-19. The food, service and ambience were all very good, though not quite as outstanding as I remembered. Turtle soup underwhelmed. We shared the outstanding Andouille crusted gulf fish, a good duck breast and a nice bottle of Pinot Noir from Santa Rita Hills.Bananas Foster was a great finish!

   The restaurant itself is very neat. However, unfortunately we had pretty terrible service. For starters our table was weirdly small, you could hardly fit all our plates on it. We ordered an appetizer that came out in ok timing. Then we waited and waited and waited. We never saw our server again to place a main order. Finally someone, who appeared to be a manager, came over to check on us. We explained we had been sitting there for almost 30 mins with our appetizer and hadn’t seen our server. At which point he told us “he” just put our appetizer down. This was strange since it was a server in a neighboring section that brought us our appetizer almost 30 mins prior. He did say our server was having an issue and took our order. My husband didn’t eat and the meal was pretty much a bust at that point. Extra bummer since we were celebrating our anniversary, which we told them when we made the reservation. I was very excited to eat there but we will not be back.

   The food was very good. We had signature shrimp and whole fish but the great service from Bradley made the experience. He prepared Bananas Foster table side while giving great background on the dish.

   We went to P.C. on Easter Sunday. The menu was very limited, the entrees were okay, and our server acted like she didn't want to be there.

   Got a bad table, sat side by side with my daughter. Should've asked to be moved. The classic Catfish Pecan dish was changed and not good at all. Service was ok....usually one of my favorite places in the city. Just had a bad experience this time. I'll still go back

    It was great to be back at Palace Café, this time for a post-race (CCC) dinner. It’s a festive place. Service was top notch, as usual. We had cocktails, champagne and wine; and they have an excellent selection of all these. We had several appetizers, entrees and desserts, and they were delicious without exception. They made our celebration perfect!
