   I have been to Palace Cafe several times and have never had an experience like last night. Service was VERY slow- we ordered appetizers only and were there for two hours. The French Onion Soup is normally very good but was awful. I was with some coworkers who are not from New Orleans and I am regretting choosing Palace Cafe to show them a taste of New Orleans.

   Dined here for the first time and the service was excellent. The food was decent but came out warm even the French Onion soup so that was disappointing.

   The food is so amazing! I have been thinking about the crab cheesecake since I last visited 10 years ago and it was as perfect as I remembered!

   We love Palace, and had a nice time this evening, the service was exceptional, and most of the food was good, but I feel the need to point out a couple of issues, including that the pasta sauce was like water, the pasta itself was not cooked well at all, my husband’s salad was like five lettuce leaves and for that price should’ve been more, and they were out of multiple desserts. Overall, Palace is always a solid choice, but their kitchen needs to match their service.

   Server was great but my food not so much. Salad was bland, fries salty and entrees were not hot- like they sat too long. Would not go back. Not as good as it was my last visit sadly

   Dined as a party of 4 in main dining room, 6pm reservation. Ordered drinks and after 20 minutes, server came back and apologized but blamed the bar. Took our food order, then delivered our drinks a full 30 minutes after our arrival. Food arrived another 30 minutes later and was delivered cold. The food portions were small and underwhelming. Fat was not properly rendered from the duck, drum fish was overcooked. We ate it anyway because we had plans to listen to music afterward. Dining room had a few large parties and the noise level was so overwhelming we could not even have a conversation among our party. After eating our cold food, we sat with dirty plates for another 20 minutes before we stopped another server to ask for our table to be cleared. One of our party really wanted dessert so we all obliged. Another long wait. We then again had to flag down the server to clear the table and deliver our check. Total dining experience was extremely disappointing. Would not return ever. Brennan's used to stand for quality and service. Not anymore. Extremely disappointed!
