   Somewhat dismayed with the restaurant charging an additional 3.5% on the bill for using a credit card. Seemed a little tacky. Should just bake that into the price of the dishes.

   The service is impeccable, from the hostess seating us to the quick bussers to the very personable server: Elijah. Our happy hour drinks were attractive and tasted as they should. Pangaea Grill has a "Sunset Dinner" menu from 3- 5 pm. What a deal! You get 3 courses for $40. The food is well prepared and tasty. Tonight we ate the grilled chicken breast with artichokes, veggies and mashed potatoes. A very substantial portion size. Everything tasted great and the mashed potatoes were the smoothest I've had in a long time. The dining room is very attractive. Overall a good dining experience.

   Unremarkable meal. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan and Grilled Spicy Pork. Both dishes were over cooked and tasted like cheap banquet meals. Definitely did not meet our expectations.

   We were in town for the night and did a ton of research on our one opportunity to have dinner at a great place. I am sure there are other terrific restaurants in Carmel, but we chose wisely. From the atmosphere to the service to the food and drink, everything was excellent!

   The food was excellent. My husband had filet minon with 3 sauces, I had sand dabs. So good!!! Even the bread was good And the service was impeccable! We will definitely be back!

   We shared 4 appetizers and half were delicious; the other 2 'meh'. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had - so tender! The crab cakes also terrific. One thing to note, the portions of the appetizers were very generous. In fact, we couldn't finish them. The best thing about the experience was the service though. It was excellent! Our waiter was helpful, efficient, and enthusiastic. A true professional who clearly enjoys what he does.

    Not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation. Went to wait at the bar - bartender did you even ask us if we wanted a drink despite trying to wave her down. She was focused on making orders for the restaurant patrons totally ignoring the people at the bar. Maybe 2 bar tenders on weekends? Need better hosting - host sat people that arrived after us before us. All tables around us got bread - we were never offered bread. Dumpling appetizer was terribly overcooked. Main meal of seafood pasta was supposed to have mushrooms and tomatoes- literally had one little slice of mushroom and no tomato. We’ve eaten here many times - never disappointed before but very disappointed last night.
