Paoli Schoolhouse American Bistro is located on the banks of the Sugar River in Paoli, WI. The Schoolhouse was built in 1864 and was converted into a restaurant in 2008. We pride ourselves in supporting local vendors and ingredients to bring you the best quality dishes.

Enjoy a meal in our beautiful bistro or on the deck/patio as weather permits. We have a great selection of wine, cocktails, and carry a variety of domestic and craft beers.

The Schoolhouse is also a great venue for small events - micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, and any other celebrations!

We sat next to a larger party that was pretty loud. It was at times harder for us to hear each other. Otherwise, the food and service were fantastic as always.

We had a great brunch. The staff was friendly and professional. They service was amazing. The space is lovely. The food was delicious. Everything our group ate was exceptional.

This fabulous restaurant never fails to exceed our expectations! We loved the delicious, high quality, creative food which is always beautifully presented. Even though it was a busy Saturday evening, our party of 5 enjoyed wonderful, attentive service and everything went smoothly. We have eaten here many times and are never disappointed in our selections. This time, we enjoyed fresh salads, a goat cheese appetizer and entrees of tenderloin, sea bass and mushroom risotto. We appreciate the attention to detail of the charming atmosphere, excellent music and nothing is lacking. The staff is amazing and Chef Luis is superb. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Crab and salmon burger and prime rib panini both with frites. Meals were very tasty. The burger was a bit spicy-the sauce could have come separately.

The music was too loud…actually a great group but would have been so much more enjoyable had they been placed in the foyer when you walked in…more background music than so overwhelming that you could not talk to your dinner mates. A couple tables asked to be moved which should have been a signal to the staff.

Wonderful re-do of old school. Salads, bread, and soup were good though the soup needed to be warmer. The entrees, however, were awful. Trout special tasteless, couscous cold. Risotto overly sweet, odd for any risotto. Beef Wellington was dry, overcooked, flavorless, with cold broccoli and tasteless mashed potatoes. Very disappointing dining experience.

My husband and I both had Prime Rib sandwiches and they were flavorful and very tender! We’ll definitely be back. Each time we visit we are very pleased with the food and excellent service. Kudos to the chef and staff!
