   Went there on the last Tuesday evening of the month and enjoyed the food and the big band that was playing!! They were awesome and the food was great!!

   Great ambience and service. Saltiest food I’ve ever eaten. Appetizer was good but dinner was awful. Small servings considering prices.

   We went early and it was perfect—quiet, great atmosphere, fast and friendly service, good food. My sister-in-law’s reaction: “What a find!”

   To be fair, we never used our reservation. We had never been to this restaurant and tried for a reservation late when not much was available. We got this, put it into our navigation, and headed to the restaurant. We saw it and decided to pass by and swing around so that we could get a parking space on the same side of the street as the restaurant. My husband pulled into a mini market parking lot to turn around. When he was pulling up close to the road to turn out, he apparently, accidentally, cut off a woman who had been in the store and was now crossing the lot to get to the sidewalk. We only know this because she slammed the back of our car with her hand. Before I could get my window rolled down to talk to her she beat on our car two more times. I was shocked and said, “What the hell, lady?” She looked at me and hit it two more times. I said, “ I’m guessing you feel that my husband cut you off. If he did, it was an accident. What you are doing, is purposeful and hateful. Even so, I forgive you. Happy holidays.” She just glared at me and stormed away. We pulled out and parked just ahead of the restaurant. I watched her walk into it. We got out and approached it. The bar door showed four people, clearly together. The restaurant door was still locked (5:30 when our reservation was), and the same lady was walking through with no one else around. Clearly, she was connected with the restaurant. Clearly, there were no other patrons at 5:30 on Friday evening. Needless to say, we did not attempt to go in. If she’s going to bang on our car for a perceived slight, what the hell would she do to our food? And no one else was there! No thank you. We found another establishment and had the best night of the week there.

   Fantastic outing with neighbor friends for live music with the Larry Brown Swinglane Orchestra this past week - big thanks to Parlor for hosting so many members of the Top of the Hill neighborhood association!

   Overall, a good experience with the exception of the service. Burgers were good, ambiance was great, music was superb. Service was awful. More help is definitely required. The servers were overwhelmed and seemed very confused. Hopefully, just a bad night.

   The staff was great about fixing a little hiccup that happened with our food order so that we were well taken care of. The music was fabulous (Doug Woolverton with the Groove Merchants), acoustics were great, nice crowd, we'll be back.

    Pirate Stew is AMAZING!, burger cooked to perfection. Great band!!! with plenty of room for dancing on a Wednesday night… can’t wait to go again
