The menu is already quite limited, and to make matters worse on arrival we were then told there was no cod or mackerel available. Two meals from our table were sent back as not cooked properly. Food took a long time to arrive and we had to chase staff to ask when this would come. Overall it was overpriced, not good quality and sadly we won't return which is shame given our office is so close to the venue.

Really lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Menu and drinks knowledge from staff was great and really lovely touch with glass of fizz due to special birthday. Also loved that a glass was automatically substituted for ginger beer for a non drinker. Chicken burger was thigh meat that wasn’t specified on menu which was a bit disappointing but I should have checked rather than assumed it would be chicken breast. Overall a really lovely lunch.

I went to celebrate my birthday. We had the starts of tomato and mozzarella, and the summer squash. We both had the ragu for our mains. We enjoyed the plethora of cocktails and beer options. I had the Paper Plane and my partner had the Negronis. The ambience was perfect for the dinner. It was quiet and peaceful.

Hidden gem, great restaurant, an oasis in what is Essentially an otherwise fairly soulless business park

This is a hidden gem of a place. A beautiful restaurant a few tram stops out of Edinburgh city centre and it is close to the tramline so a very short walk. We ate at the restaurant that is tastefully decorated. The bakery was closed but looked amazing and have heard is also worth a visit. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and attentive. However, the star of the show was the food. It was amazing - we had gorgeous breads and olives to start (focaccia was out of this world good). For main course I had burrata salad and my husband had coley with butter beans. Both dishes were delicious - so fresh and the flavours were spot on. Hot ginger cake and ice cream to finish. All gorgeous and reasonably priced for the quality of ingredients. They chance the menu every 6 weeks and if we lived closer we would go at least every 6 weeks. They also have a lovey performance area for live music on certain nights. Cannot recommend highly enough. So worth the short trip out of the city.

Really enjoyed our visit and thought people and food great but music was too noisy. It was turned down at our request but still noisy. We were out for lunch with friends and wanted to talk and hear each other. However, overall a good experience.

Welcome could have been a little warmer than 'cafe or restaurant?', and a dog was in the way of moving past! The music had to be asked to be turned down quite a few times as they struggled with the levels, eventually it was made right by a charming man! Food absolutely delicious, the Raviolo was amazing and breads were very very good. Good selection of wines and a ginger cake that was beautifully light. Overall the service was just ok but the food really made it, beautiful place to sit and will definitely be back.
