    Amazing food. High quality. Got lots of little condiments. The cocktails are fabulous! Very friendly staff. Loved the experience. We went as a group of three friends but best to go as a two if going to the cocktail bar. They pulled over an extra table for us for our food which was lovely!

    A very disappointing evening. We booked a table for what we thought was the cocktail area of Pen&Player but instead ended up in the ‘atrium’ which is no more than a glorified hallway. It was very cold with absolutely no atmosphere. The service was slow and in no way did we feel like we were in a cosy luxurious cocktail bar as per their website. We were a party of 12 which they told us on arrival meant that they couldn’t accommodate our size in the cocktail bar itself. The ‘atrium’ is NOT Pen&Player no matter what they try to sell it as. The pictures on the website don’t show the atrium and that in itself should have been a red flag when I booked it but based on the pictures they do show I think it’s very reasonable for me to expect to arrive and be seated in a venue that looked like what has been advertised. Such a disappointing night for a family get together and shame on Pen&Player for the false advertising.

    Beautiful interiors, excellent service, the waiting staff were so attentive and knew the menu inside out. The food was tasty and had decent portions. A fab spot for a small group or date night.

    Didn't know what to expect really going in. Really relaxed atmosphere. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We were not rushed, staff even moved bookings to keep the place spacious and intimate. Food was delicious and good value. Would definitely recommend.
