The food and service here are brilliant - I'm non-gluten and non-dairy and they were careful about my order which was bloody delicious. Awesome wine as well. Lovely place for a long late lunch.

Great ambiance, great service, great food, great prices. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere in the heart of Potts Point. It's a welcome oasis in the middle of the typical big city fast-food grab-and-go hustle. Sit down. Take the weight off your feet for a while. Enjoy your company. And eat real food at reasonable prices. The service from the staff is the crowning jewel. Two thumbs up. Five stars.

I was catching up with friends that I hadn't seen in a very long time and having not been there before we decided to try The New Hampton (aka Penny's). A little hiccup with finding the place initially because of the name difference between the outside signage and Google Maps, but on entry, a welcoming environment, staff were friendly and accommodating with a comfortable atmosphere. We had a table booking for 6pm and arrived a couple of hours early to start the catch up and wait for the rest of our party to arrive. Relatively relaxing and not too busy which made conversation much easier. At the time of our booking, we took our reserved seating and subsequently placed our orders at the bar. Meals arrived really quickly, were delivered by the friendly staff and were delicious, no complaints from any of us! Overall a pleasant experience that helped to set the stage for a great night had by all, thank you.

Loved the steak frittes with salad - especially when it was the daily special. Tender and tasty meat cooked exactly as requested. There's also an excellent selection of wines on offer to compliment all the meals.

The food was average. I had the Fish burger (barramundi) that had very little fish in it. It came with shoestring fries that I am no a fan of (a bit greasy). My partner had the Hawaiian pizza that was on small side too. Staff were friendly though.

Food was good, staff great & atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed the Penny Potato Scallops, Cured Kingfish & Pork Belly Bites. My sister ordered the Chicken Schnitzel said her coleslaw & chips were very salty. My husband ordered the Pennys Beef Burger said it was ok.

My 1st visit & pleasantly surprised. Met 3 friends for lunch on a Sat. & all stated they would return. Lovely ambience, lots of choice where to sit, food was very good & service very friendly & helpful.

Food average, very noisy, decor is worse than it was before the renovation. Given that renovation is not complete I felt I was eating on the construction site. I use to love the place a was come very often. I can assure you my views are shared with the group I was with. I hope you improve. Xx
