In 2024, the original location of Petit Trois, on Highland Ave in Hollywood, celebrates 10 years as a beloved, can't miss part of LA's dining scene. Chef/Owner Ludo Lefebvre puts his spin on classic French flavors including the cult-favorite Big Mec burger, swimming in rich Bordelaise sauce, perfectly roasted Heritage chicken with compressed potatoes fried in clarified butter, a French Dip sandwich served with a version of the restaurant's onion soup for dipping, and lots more. Start with the restaurant's housemade baguette served with the creamiest French butter and pair it all with wine from the restaurant's thoughtfully curated list, which includes 16 by the glass options. With a design inspired by classic Parisian bistros, Petit Trois transports guests in its 2 dining areas as well as an outdoor patio. The dining room is also available for private events.

I love this place. The endive salad is a 5 star dish. I find that some other dishes, and the service, could be a little bit better to make it a 5 star experience, yet not everything needs to be perfect to be a favorite and a much beloved place. The music was great! I love the Very lively and enjoyable atmosphere or the newer dining room.

Came for birthday lunch and my girlfriend and I order the special - Dover whitefish meinière with brown butter sauce. our husbands order steak frites and drinks are en route. Server returns to tell us he forgot to mention the special is $115. My friend changes her order to the croque madam sandwich and I almost change mine too but since it’s my birthday, I order it. The presentation is lovely but it’s actually way overcooked, the sauce makes it bearable but very disappointing to say the least. Everyone else loved their meals. I tell our server the fish is overcooked. It’s noted. The desserts were delish. My chocolate soufflé was comped. Even so, can’t believe the chef plated that hard fish and served it to me at that elevated price. Not a good experience, but couldn’t let that spoil my day. But three days later, it bothers me. Ughhh!!

I requested a table seating, My friend and I were sat at the bar counter which apparently they are calling the “chefs table”. I came to catch up with my friend which wasn’t happening between the chef shouting out orders and the dishes being washed in front of us. The food was just okay. Not sure I will go back as the other guests were poorly dressed in hoodies. Especially for the price.

I was waiting to try this omelette after seeing on TV. It's hands down the best. Simple and perfect. I'll come back every time I'm in town.

food was fantastic and service was wonderful. Only changes I would’ve made was to turn up the music a little bit to create more atmosphere and increase the size of the steak frites, even if you have to raise the price a bit.

The food at Petit Trois is the best taste of Paris in LA. The service does, unfortunately, leave something to be desired.

What a mess. When I arrived and stated that I had a reservation for two (which was made a week in advance) all seemed fine. When I stated that it was our 32nd anniversary things seemed to change. My partner and I were told we would be seated at the bar (next to the open door and draft) - as you can imagine, NOT what you would want or accept for celebrating an anniversary. The hostess asked if we had "requested a table". The choices available upon making the reservation were "inside" or "outside". How absolutely PATHETIC that we were asked if we REQUESTED a table (especially when I made the reservation and noted it was an anniversary) - what next, do I need to request a fork and a knife? When one makes a RESERVATION at a restaurant the assumption that is for a TABLE, not the ridiculous Petit Trois assumption that is an honor to sit on a bar stool. It felt as if once we were noted as two men celebrating an anniversary, we became exempt from any consideration for a table as we were told by the hostess, "I don't see you requesting a table, and we have several large parties here tonight". Looking around, the "large parties" seemed to be dirty sneaker - hoodie wearing failed influencers/has-beens/never-was'es. Happy to have dodged a bullet by leaving and enjoying a far superior meal in West Hollywood where the sort of MAGA experience we received at Petit Trois did not exist. Perhaps the Yum Yum Donut shop next door may need to expand soon, and there will be no need for this "restaurant" serving somewhat adequate French grub to exist. Bye Felicia, spreading the word TODAY.
