   We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. We had the pre-fixe NYE menu. Courses took a while to come out, food was cold/sitting around, fish was overcooked, overall quality and flavor not great for $95/person. Cocktail French 75 was excellent!

   Worst dining experience ever. They tried to jump into a fine dining pre fixe menu on one of the busiest nights of the year. Horrible fail. Spent 3 hrs, didn’t even get to the last 2 courses. Entrees were bland, wine pairings were generic with little thought. They should stick with brunch

   Based on a past positive experience, I chose Petite Chou for a post-Christmas, family treat. To say I was disappointed is putting it mildly. Watered down bourbon cocktails set the scene for 2 of us. Pommes frites shared by all were tasty. Butter crunch lettuce salad with radishes and grated parmesan was seriously salty. 2 entrees - roast pork and vegetarian quinoa with roasted (rated very good by the recipient) were lukewarm, served on cold plates. Which brings me to my entree - mussels. Where was the broth for dipping my bread into? The only indication of broth was a thin and slightly thick layer on the bottom of the bowl. Mussels, when present at all, varied from medium to small. The bowl was inadequate for holding discarded shells; the table light was too dim to see the contents of the shells. My entree was also lukewarm. So if cozy ambience is your prime motivator, Petite Chou would fit the bill. Food? Less so.

   Unfortunately we ordered a steak medium rare, came out medium well. They happily remade it, but it came out medium well again so we just gave up

   Baby, it’s cold outside! The heaters in the outdoor area that is enclosed with plastic do not keep up with the drafts. I won’t go again on a cold day, but the food was good.

   Whenever I come home from Florida, I try to include Petite Chou in my visits. It is my favorite restaurant in Indy. Antionette was an outstanding server tonight and I shall ask for her in the future. She was attentive, cheerful and efficient. The food was superb as always.
