   We did not dine here this night although we made a reservation and as locals this is usually one of out favorite spots. We arrived 15 minutes early. After checking in with the not so friendly 3 greeters, we were taken to the smallest booth ( had requested a booth when making the reservation ) The booth we were to be seated at was directly in front of and against the waitstaff station where someone was putting or scraping platters in my earshot. Did not find that an enjoyable location , asked for another area. Hostess walked us right past another open and more suitable booth but said nothing as to why we could not be seated there. We went to the entrance and sat on the bench again to wait. The hostess went to the sodium and told the gal in charge of the seating map on the computer screen. She proceeded to address us from where she stood rather than coming over to us and politely telling us there may not be a booth for awhile. She made no other recommendation! No smile, no class! It was Saturday night before Christmas and it was not busy. There was this air of”we could care less what you may want” As seniors, and locals we know the management must train the hostesses better than this. Maybe this was the only job they were qualified for. Not returning anytime soon. Promptly left and went down to Cheesecake Factory where the hostesses were smiling, cheerful and friendly! And they were in the holiday spirit!

   we had a fabulous experience. The menu looks like it’s been redone freshened up with some new tasty meals. Food was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our father’s 90th birthday. Looking forward to coming back soon.

   Let's just say that PF Chang's has changed tremendously since they first opened. When P.F. Chang's first came to the valley you felt like you were at an upscale almost fine dining restaurant. Everyone was impeccably dressed and their appearances and friendliness for nice. Now you have a bunch of young girls at the hostess stand with absolutely no communication whatsoever. They just stand around and wait for people to keep asking them at their table is ready. The atmosphere is not what it used to be. Now I feel like I'm going to a glorified Pei Wei Restaurant. Our saving Grace for the night, was that I recognized the bartender from another location and she came over and said hello.

   I had made a reservation for 4 people at 4:30pm on Friday 12/13. When I arrived a few minutes early I was seated and the table was set for 4 as we needed. Because my family is never late in arriving I got worried when they didn’t arrive. When I got up to use the restroom I found they had been seated on the opposite side of the restaurant and had been waiting for ME. Very disappointing. Re: my meal, I decided to try the new Orange Chicken on the menu and was told by the waiter it had “mild” spices. I when I tasted it it was definitely “spicy” and not to my liking. Very sorry for the unfortunate review as I rarely complain. Thx

   They didn’t have our reservation so we had to wait. Second we asked for a table where we can put a stroller. She tried to put us in a booth along the main path. SMH. We picked a table that suited the need. All in all it was what we remembered.

    Good Chinese food seems hard to find in Scottsdale, so we basically stopped looking for it. We decided to try PF Chang's again as we had not been there in a long time, and we were very pleased with our experience. Our server was excellent, the food was good, and the quantity was more than we could eat in one sitting. We surely will be back!
