Food: We opted for the 10-course Vegan tasting menu, which began promisingly with a series of intriguing, beautifully presented, and flavorful dishes. However, the experience went down hill at dessert, which were underwhelming, unpleasant and did not live up to the high standards set by the earlier courses. Ambiance: The ambiance was less than ideal, as I was seated directly in front of a glaring light throughout the two-hour meal, which detracted from the overall experience. My partner kept having to position his head to block the light from my eyes. Service: Unfortunately, the service was the weakest aspect of the evening. It began with our host asking if we’d like to check our coats, despite us being right in front of her and not wearing any. Constant interruptions of our conversation ensued with frequent and redundant inquiries about our experience—each time we finished a course, we were asked how we felt about that dish, sometimes more than once. At the end of the meal, we were even asked to declare our favorite course. Platess were cleared from one diner while the other was eating. A moment of confusion came with a crackers and dip dish, which was served in two parts, ten minutes apart. First, the crackers were brought out, and then the dip followed, with no explanation until we asked. Value: At nearly £300 for two (without alcohol), we did not feel that the meal provided value for money, especially given the lack of consistency in both the food and service. On the walk back to the hotel we passed place after place radiating light and laughter after our gloomy experience in a near empty restaurant.

Truly exceptional. I've been here once before (July 2024) and I have been raving about the food quality and ambience for months but I was really blown away yesterday by the staff and their energy towards me. My wife and I walked in for lunch after having spent the morning walking around London, a bit dirty and sweaty and we were wearing very modest clothing when we entered (I was wearing puma track bottoms and sneakers). I was worried that they may judge or make me feel awkward or unwelcome (I did change soon after entering however it wasnt a huge upgrade in clothing) but from the moment I stepped in, I was not judged or discriminated against in the slightest. It was an incredible change of energy compared to what I am normally used to at higher end establishments. Thank you for providing me utmost comfort while allowing me to have an incredible dining experience. The food was absolutely to die for (expected as much). My wife and I each got a 10 course taster. I had the vegetarian and she had the regular menu. The ambience was phenomenal (as expected) and the whole dining experience was absolutely perfect. I must say, as a michelin star restaurant there are certain expectations that come with it. Pied à Terre went above and beyond any and all expectations I had yesterday (and having been there previously, yes I had very high expectations). Thank you to whole team for an incredible experience. I eagerly look forward to all of my future visits as I can certainly say everytime I fly back to London, I will be sure to come say hi and grab a bite.

Very friendly and attentive service. The food was beautifully presented and very imaginative . Excellent sauces and unusual combinations of ingredients The flight of wines was very well chosen and complemented the dishes perfectly. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant

I was really looking forward to visit the restaurant as the menu online looked amazing, but when I arrived on site the menu had 3/4 different dishes. I wanted to go for the 10 courses but because of this change and some of the dishes not being in my likings I opted for 6 courses. Now let’s come to the gimmick of the courses, I went for 8 but actually received 3 savoury courses, cheese, pre dessert and dessert with canapé and petit fours which for them counted as a course, the 3 savoury courses were all great, pre dessert and dessert a total disappointment and not worth the star. Then let’s move to the service, staff was friendly but not coordinated, before sitting down I spotted two stains on my tablecloth, been asked for water twice and they brought also the wrong one 😂🤦🏻‍♂️. Wine list is embarrassing with no bottles costing less than 90 pounds which looks like a big rip off and not leaving much choice to who wants to spend a bit less, no half bottles and glasses of wine with too much gap, I’m a sommelier and this looked like they either don’t have a sommelier or the list is made to scam people, in all this the owner looked more like the clown of the circus seated on the table next to mine drinking with some other guests rather that being worried about running the restaurant. The decors feels like the place is stuck in the 80’s. For the money spent absolutely not worth and probably not worth the Michelin star, but probably they are retaining it only because they have it for long time. If you are going often around for these types of restaurants you probably visit once and then never again, there’s a lot better around the area with better value for the price. Feels bad to leave a review like these, first because I work in the industry and always trying to be kind to others, and because the staff were friendly, but felt they were not on top of their game at all

On-line menus are updated daily. Our Tête de Moine is no shortcut. We allow 2.5 hours for 8 course menus. Your arrival time was 13.10, petit fours served at 15.02. You were given wine list to peruse. You requested two glasses of red, these were served at your pace. Longest time between courses was 15 minutes. We have quicker paced meals from £55. The Somm served £14 Kinki Ortega checking back moments after tasting. The GM served £23 Cortona Syrah, invited you to taste, then the Somm discussed. You enjoyed complimentary Pinot Blanc with cheese and 95 Josmeyer Grand Cru with dessert. Our multi-awarded wine list has many bottles under £90, wines by glass from £14, not £25, half bottles available. I often sit with guests, but always available to serve. Fuller comment on google.

Sadly not worthy of a Michelin Star in my opinion. Flavour combinations were mismatched and service, while friendly was not the standard I would expect. Have seen previous reviews mentioning the temperature of the food as well and I have to agree, most dishes came out like warm. Only 2 of the courses (we opted for the 10 course plant based menu) would be fit for a 1 star. Both desserts were flat which for me should be the crescendo of the meal. White Chocolate cremeux overpowered by a basil oil which left the meal on strange note. The Kinder Bueno on the train home had more going on and that's not something you should be writing after eating at a place like this. Just a bit flat. This is not in anyway supposed to be harsh just an honest reflection based on the price point and expectations we have of Michelin establishments.

Service was not Michelin level service. Waiter was confused on the order, only gave one person 5 dishes and charged for 6 and were not friendly.

I've dined a few times here, for birthdays and special occasions, always great staff, atmosphere... and always with the very attentive David, who effortlessly and genuinely cares that you are having a great meal. It was my 60th birthday with my twin brother, we had the taster menu... and David insisted on some additional flights wines with our lovely food, as a gift from the restaurant. I can't fault the evening, we had a great time, amazing food, with many laughs, and I will be back at some stage. I mentioned this to a friend whose mother went a few years ago for her 75th and wedding anniversary and said that David treated her like a queen. I can't recommend the wonderful place enough.
